Urgent action on construction sites.
In early December, the construction atmosphere on the Hop Thanh - An Phu road renovation and upgrade project (My Duc commune) was bustling from the start. The sounds of excavators and bulldozers echoed, and trucks carrying materials moved in and out continuously. The project, with a total investment of over 46 billion VND and a length of nearly 1.7km, is being constructed by Son Trang Construction and Trading Company Limited.
According to site manager Bui Duy Thanh, months of heavy rain and typhoons 10-12 caused flooding, significantly impacting the project's progress. The road is also narrow, requiring simultaneous construction and traffic management, making site preparation challenging. "As soon as the weather improved, we mobilized maximum manpower and machinery, opening two construction fronts to take advantage of every day. The goal is to complete the project, even exceeding the investor's schedule," Thanh shared.
At another transportation project, the pace of construction is also accelerating. Project manager Le Chi Thien (Bao Toan Human Resources Construction Co., Ltd.) said that the contractor is working overtime to compensate for the delays caused by weather and some site clearance issues. “The volume has reached about 50%. We are committed to completing the project on schedule, even though time is running out,” Mr. Thien said.
Not only the contractors, but also the residents are eagerly awaiting the completion of the roads. Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, a resident living near the Hop Thanh - An Phu route, shared: "The road is under construction, so getting around is difficult, but seeing the construction site working diligently for the past few weeks, everyone hopes it will be finished soon. With the new road, transportation and business will surely be much more convenient."
Ensuring completion on schedule.
According to Vuong Van Hop, Director of the Investment and Infrastructure Management Board of My Duc Commune, the entire commune is implementing dozens of projects, each in a different stage, thus requiring close supervision. The commune maintains the principle of "clear responsibilities - clear tasks - clear progress," holding regular meetings and updating the volume of work weekly; commune leaders directly go to the site to resolve problems and avoid interruptions.
Alongside construction, discipline in capital disbursement has also been given special attention. As of the end of November 2025, the total planned public investment capital of My Duc commune was over 504 billion VND; of which approximately 311 billion VND had been disbursed, reaching over 61% of the plan. Specifically, the capital allocated for 2025 reached 67.14%, higher than the city average.
According to Le Van Doan, Vice Chairman of the My Duc Commune People's Committee, the commune has requested the Investment and Infrastructure Management Board and related units to review the entire project list, verify the completed work that meets the requirements, and finalize payment documents promptly. The Director of the Commune's Investment and Infrastructure Management Board is fully responsible to the Commune People's Committee for the disbursement and settlement progress.
Post-investment management has also been tightened. School buildings, health centers, rural transportation infrastructure, etc., are regularly inspected to ensure efficient use.
Chairman of My Duc Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Quang Duong, affirmed that public investment is a breakthrough step to create significant changes in infrastructure and people's lives. "We are determined to complete 100% of the capital plan in 2025. This is not just a task, but a commitment of the government to more than 53,000 people in the area," Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong emphasized.
With close coordination between investors, contractors, and the people, along with the decisive leadership of the government, My Duc is nearing the goal of completing projects and disbursing funds as required. Once the projects are put into use, the infrastructure of the commune will be comprehensively upgraded, creating a foundation for sustainable socio -economic development.
