My Duc speeds up construction at the end of the year

With just under a month to go until the end of 2025, many construction sites in My Duc commune are entering the acceleration phase. The locality is focusing on completing the remaining volume, while speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital according to the requirements of Hanoi city, creating a clear change in the first year of implementing the 2-level local government model.

In early December, the construction atmosphere on the Hop Thanh - An Phu road upgrade and renovation route (My Duc commune) was bustling from early morning. The sound of excavators and bulldozers echoed, and trucks carrying materials continuously came and went. The project has a total investment of more than 46 billion VND, nearly 1.7km long, and is being constructed by Son Trang Construction and Trading Company Limited.

Construction site commander Bui Duy Thanh said that months of heavy rain and storms No. 10-12 have caused flooding, significantly affecting progress. The road is small, and we have to construct and ensure traffic at the same time, so site organization is difficult. “As soon as the weather is favorable, we mobilize maximum human resources and machinery, opening two construction fronts to take advantage of each day. The goal is to complete, even exceed the plan required by the investor,” Mr. Thanh shared.

At another traffic project, the construction pace has also been accelerated. Commander Le Chi Thien (Bao Toan Talent Construction Company Limited) said that the contractor is working overtime to compensate for the volume delayed due to the weather and some site problems. "The volume has reached about 50%. We are committed to completing the project on schedule, even though there is not much time left," said Mr. Thien.

Not only contractors, but also local people are looking forward to the completion of the roads every day. Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, a resident living near the Hop Thanh - An Phu route, shared: "The road is under construction so it is difficult to travel, but seeing the construction site in full swing for the past few weeks, everyone hopes it will be completed soon. With a new road, traffic and business will certainly be much more convenient."

Ensure the destination is on time

According to the Director of the Investment and Infrastructure Management Board of My Duc Commune, Vuong Van Hop, the entire commune is implementing dozens of projects, each project at a different stage, so it requires close supervision. The commune maintains the principle of "clear people - clear work - clear progress", holds regular meetings, updates the volume every week; commune leaders directly go to the scene to handle problems, avoiding interruptions.

Along with construction, special attention is also paid to discipline in capital disbursement. As of the end of November 2025, the total public investment capital plan of My Duc commune is more than 504 billion VND; of which about 311 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching more than 61% of the plan. Particularly, the capital portion in 2025 reached 67.14%, higher than the city average.

Vice Chairman of My Duc Commune People's Committee Le Van Doan said that the commune has requested the Investment - Infrastructure Management Board and related units to review the entire project list, accept qualified volume and complete payment documents in a timely manner. The Director of the Commune Investment - Infrastructure Management Board is fully responsible to the Commune People's Committee for the progress of disbursement and settlement.

Post-investment management is also tightened. Schools, health stations, rural transport, etc. are regularly inspected to ensure effective use.

Chairman of the People's Committee of My Duc Commune, Nguyen Quang Duong, affirmed that public investment is a breakthrough to create a clear change in infrastructure and people's lives. "We are determined to complete 100% of the capital plan in 2025. This is not only a task but also a commitment of the government to more than 53,000 people in the area," Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong emphasized.

With the close coordination between investors, contractors and people along with the strong management spirit of the government, My Duc is getting closer to the goal of completing projects and disbursing funds as required. When the projects are put into use, the infrastructure of the commune will be comprehensively upgraded, creating a foundation for sustainable socio -economic development.
