Tuan Hai received a red card, and Nam Dinh Club took advantage of the opportunity.
The match between Nam Dinh FC and Hanoi FC at Thien Truong Stadium (6 PM on February 5th), as part of the early match of V-League Round 13, features two teams currently facing difficulties.
While Nam Dinh FC is on a four-match winless streak since losing their key striker Nguyen Xuan Son, Hanoi FC has also just changed coaches after their defeat against HAGL. Therefore, both teams are desperate for a win to break their crisis and get back on track in the championship race.
Hanoi FC (in yellow jerseys) started the match better.
The open, attacking style of play created numerous scoring opportunities at Thien Truong Stadium. In the 4th minute, Hung Dung played a through pass to Floro Da Silva, who raced down to face goalkeeper Nguyen Manh. However, the Nam Dinh goalkeeper rushed out in time to close the angle and make the save. In the 28th minute, goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan showcased his skills with a superb reflex save against Joseph Mpande's close-range shot, keeping Hanoi FC clean.
The turning point of the match came in the last 5 minutes of the first half, with unexpected developments. First, Hong Duy collided with Xuan Tu inside the penalty area. After consulting VAR, referee Mai Xuan Hung reviewed the replay and determined that Hong Duy had committed a foul. From the penalty spot, new signing Luka calmly beat goalkeeper Nguyen Manh with a decisive shot, opening the scoring for Hanoi FC in the 42nd minute.
If Hanoi FC could have maintained their advantage until the end of the first half, they would have had an easier second half. However, coach Hoang Van Phuc's team couldn't achieve their goal. In the 45th minute, Tuan Hai made a direct tackle with the sole of his shoe on Hong Duy's ankle. The referee reviewed the replay and, after determining it was a dangerous foul, revoked the yellow card and issued a direct red card to Tuan Hai, leaving Hanoi FC with only 10 players on the field.

'Specialty' that goes against the current
With their numerical advantage, Nam Dinh FC launched an all-out attack. Despite the absence of their key attacking player Nguyen Xuan Son and a less-than-stellar performance, the home team, Nam Dinh, still possessed the necessary elements to turn the tide.
In the 60th minute, a misstep by Hendrio Araujo inadvertently turned into a perfect pass for Caio Cesar to curl a beautiful shot, sending the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper Van Chuan.
The goal ignited the fighting spirit of Nam Dinh FC. The home team pressed forward, trying to secure all three points, but against the tight defense of Hanoi FC, Nam Dinh FC had to wait until the end of the match to find the winning goal.
Henderson shines
In the 84th minute, Hendrio sprinted past Duy Manh and unleashed a powerful diagonal shot. The ball wasn't far from goalkeeper Van Chuan, but its speed was so great that the Hanoi FC custodian fumbled it. This goal completed Nam Dinh FC's comeback victory at Thien Truong Stadium.
A full three points against Hanoi FC gives Nam Dinh FC 24 points, temporarily putting them at the top of the table.
