(Dan Tri) - Tran Trung Kien, the champion of the first quarter of the Road to Olympia 2024 competition, was once "overwhelmed" with knowledge and shed tears many times due to helplessness after defeats against his opponents.
Tran Trung Kien (11th grade student of Le Hong Phong High School) won the first quarter of the Road to Olympia 2024 with 235 points, becoming the first representative to bring the television bridge to Phu Yen province. It is known that before that, the male student was also the valedictorian of Le Hong Phong High School (Phu Yen province), and maintained the achievement of being the top student in the block for 10 consecutive years.

With a desire to contribute tothe education of his home province , to achieve his dream of becoming the owner of the laurel wreath, on average, the male student spends two to three hours a day practicing. During peak review days, the time spent practicing can be up to 4-5 hours. During the practice sessions, especially in the early stages when he first got used to the competition, Trung Kien could not count the number of times he failed against his friends who were practicing with him through the Olympia exam preparation application. The male student also admitted that he was "overwhelmed" with knowledge, and even shed tears many times in helplessness because he tried so hard but still failed. "From the first days of "taking the first steps" to get used to Olympia's questions, I lost a lot during the practice process. At that time, I realized that the gap between me and other good students was very far", Kien recounted.

However, thanks to his passion for the intellectual arena, the encouragement of his family, teachers and especially his determination to contribute to the education of Phu Yen province, the male student has lifted his spirit and determined to conquer the laurel wreath. "Because of the efforts that I and everyone around me have put in, I want to do something worthy of that effort. In addition, the fact that Phu Yen province has missed the telecast many times makes me even more eager to bring the telecast to my home province, contributing to the education of the province," Kien said. Realizing that his pressure is nothing. In addition to Olympia, Kien has also participated and won prizes in many different competitions such as: Guess who are the three best math students at the provincial level, second prize in the national 8th grade chemistry Olympiad... Participating in many competitions, Kien cannot avoid times of fatigue. However, when looking back at the hardships of his family and teachers, the male student feels that his pressure is nothing. "My parents did a lot to raise my two sisters. My hard work in school is nothing compared to the efforts and hardships of my parents and the efforts of my teachers to improve my knowledge," Kien said. Kien also confessed that the pressure mainly came from himself, but thanks to the support of his family and teachers, the male student was able to find a balance between Olympia preparation and schoolwork.

Mr. Tran Trung Luu (Kien's father) always encourages and accompanies his son on his journey to realize his Olympia dream. Witnessing his son win the quarterly competition, he could not hide his joy and excitement. However, Kien's father always reminds his son to stay relaxed and participate in the competition in the spirit of exchange and learning. "Having the opportunity to go out and see outside knowledge is already a blessing. When competing, everyone wishes for a prize, but I am happy for the round that my son goes deep into," said Mr. Luu. After winning the quarterly competition, the male student received a lot of attention on social networks. This made Kien happy but also a little pressured. The male student said that everyone's attention made him more aware of his responsibility in the upcoming final match and he will be determined to fight with all his might.
