In mid-November 2025, in Dong Hoi ward, the training course "Supporting women to start a business in the digital economy " was organized by the Provincial Women's Union. This is an activity within the Action Program No. 04-CTr/TU, dated December 9, 2020 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on human resource development and improving the quality of personnel work, term 2020-2025.

Speaking at the training course, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Hong Ha emphasized that while in the past, business mainly relied on traditional methods, now, with the development of digital technology , social networks and e-commerce, women can completely start a business, do business, and promote products right at home with just a smartphone. Therefore, organizing the training course is very practical. The goal of the course is to help women better understand the concept and opportunities of the digital economy, know how to apply digital platforms, online sales skills, e-marketing and manage smart business models, thereby improving capacity, confidence in starting a business and developing a sustainable economy.

The training course is also a valuable opportunity for women to learn, exchange experiences, update knowledge, boldly share difficulties and questions in the process of doing business and starting a business so that experts and lecturers can support and give specific instructions. Learning is not only to know, but more importantly to apply in practice, change thinking and action.

Coming from Hat village, Kim Phu commune, Ms. Nguyen Thi Que (born in 1989) enthusiastically shared that participating in the training course helped her "break the ice" about many things about e-commerce business. With the business items of cosmetics and consumer goods, she had previously tried selling via Facebook and Zalo but was still not professional, and sales were not as expected.

Through the lectures and the enthusiastic, easy-to-understand guidance of the instructors at the training class, she was enriched with knowledge about digital economy and will start applying it right after the class ends. In addition, this is also an opportunity for her to interact, exchange, and share with other sisters, as well as learn more about the products she wants to sell in the future.

“I hope to have the opportunity to participate in more training courses to improve my knowledge and skills in digital economy. In particular, the Provincial Women's Union will create conditions to help members promote and introduce products and connect with potential consumer markets,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Que added.

In the near future, Ms. Le Thi Ha (born in 1979) in Tan Gianh commune will open an additional line of environmentally friendly biological products in addition to the wedding dress and makeup business. She tried posting introductory posts on her personal Facebook page and livestreaming, but she was still confused about many e-commerce knowledge. Now that she has added a new business line, she is even more worried about expanding her customer base and promoting and introducing products. According to Ms. Ha, this training course is an opportunity for her to solve long-standing problems.

Many meaningful and practical contents about digital economy were updated by experienced lecturers with effective and flexible communication methods, helping her and many other women participating in the class to expand and develop necessary knowledge and skills. She hopes that after the end of the training course, the connection between the association, lecturers and participants will still be maintained effectively, helping women overcome difficulties in the process of directly doing business on digital platforms.

The contents conveyed in this training course are considered very practical and meaningful for business households, from tax accounting in 2025, 2026; financial management to online sales... In particular, with the topic of online sales, Dr. Tran Tu Luc, Head of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Quang Binh University, gave women a panoramic view of this special business field (benefits and challenges when selling online; comparing popular sales channels; instructions for choosing the right channel; skills to build sales image and content; sales management, orders, customer care...).

Women are also directly instructed and practice how to take photos and record product videos with their phones; layout sales articles; and how to handle customer comments and messages.

In 2025, the Provincial Women's Union organized a series of training activities on customer development skills, online sales, building startup ideas and business planning... for female cadres and members. In addition to digital business capacity building classes organized by the Provincial Women's Union, women also actively participated in training and fostering classes on digital economy organized by departments, branches, units and localities.

In the near future, a training course to support women starting businesses in the digital economy will also be implemented by the Provincial Women's Union with a larger number of female members participating and more diverse in composition.

According to Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Hong Ha, the Provincial Women's Union hopes that through training courses like this, women will be equipped with more knowledge, skills and confidence in applying digital technology to their start-up and business activities. And after the training courses, each trainee will become a "nucleus spreading" the spirit of start-up, innovation and digital transformation to the local women's community, together contributing to building the provincial women's start-up movement to become more vibrant and effective.
