Open showroom of genuine and fake goods

Responding to the Anti-Counterfeiting and Counterfeiting Day (November 29), on the morning of November 21, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) held the Opening Ceremony of the Genuine - Counterfeit Goods Exhibition with the theme "Understanding genuine goods - Avoiding counterfeit goods".

On the morning of November 21, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) opened a showroom displaying genuine and fake goods, with the theme "Understanding genuine goods - Avoiding fake goods".

This is the 18th time the genuine - fake goods showroom at 62 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi has opened its doors to welcome visitors to learn more information.

This time, the Organizing Committee displayed over 500 genuine and fake products, collected by market management forces during the inspection and handling of violations, as well as provided by representatives of genuine trademark owners.

The products on display include many groups of fields: Food, agricultural products, cosmetics, functional foods, fashion , shoes, auto parts, motorbikes, etc.

Notably, the products provided by the Japan Intellectual Property Association for display and introduction to Vietnamese consumers include: Asics sports shoes, Yonex badminton rackets, Canon camera batteries, Transino cosmetics, YKK zippers, NGK spark plugs... These are all product lines with high consumption demand and are easily counterfeited due to their high value.

At the showroom, each product has clear real-fake comparison, helping visitors directly compare and identify every difference in detail, from material, design to label in an intuitive and vivid way.

Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, emphasized that the showroom is a practical activity, contributing to spreading legal knowledge and improving consumers' self-protection capacity.

At the display areas, market management officers directly instruct people on how to identify counterfeit goods through stamps, labels, QR codes, traceability technology and characteristic signs of each product group.
