The Hue City Technical Innovation Contest 2025 has 106 registered topics in 6 fields: Information technology, electronics and telecommunications; mechanics, automation, construction, transportation; materials, chemicals, energy; agriculture, forestry, fisheries, resources and environment; medicine and pharmacy; education and training. With the diversity of fields and topics, the topics participating in this year's Contest are not only highly creative but also make practical contributions to the economic , social, medical, educational and environmental development of the city.

Through the evaluation results of the judging councils, the Organizing Committee submitted to the City People's Committee for approval and decided to award prizes to 40 excellent topics, including: 6 First prizes, 8 Second prizes, 10 Third prizes and 16 Encouragement prizes. Typical topics with high prizes include: "Application of AI to improve the efficiency of document management and administration in the 2-level government model"; "Research and propose solutions to build Gia Hoi ancient town space into a typical commercial and tourist street of Hue city"; "Manufacture of CO2 absorbing construction materials from fly ash and coconut fiber"; "Research on the production of microbial preparations with high enzyme activity from indigenous microorganisms and their application in preventing wilt disease on peanuts"; "Breakthrough in the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility: Techniques for testing sperm DNA fragmentation and semen oxidative stress"; "Developing educational materials from Hue folk literature heritage in primary school teaching"...

Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Mr. Ho Dac Thai Hoang, Chairman of the City Union of Science and Technology Associations, emphasized that after 15 times of organization, the contest has contributed to strongly promoting the movement of scientific and technological research and innovation in the city in the direction of increasing scale and efficiency. The contest topics have high scientific content, many topics have demonstrated novelty, creativity, feasible application and brought practical efficiency in production and life, contributing to encouraging the emulation movement, scientific and technological research and innovation among professional and non-professional scientific researchers.

The contest also contributes to solving urgent practical needs, affirming the talent and continuous creativity of the team of scientists living and working in Hue. Through the activities of the contest, it has affirmed the core role of scientists in creating breakthroughs, bringing the country to breakthrough development, prosperity in the new era, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

From the results of this year's Competition, the Organizing Committee proposed: The City Labor Federation, Hue University Trade Union, Hue Central Hospital Trade Union to guide the application for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to consider awarding the Creative Labor Certificate to the project owners who won the First, Second, and Third prizes; Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to guide the application for the Central Youth Union to award the Creative Youth Badge to the youth union members whose projects won the First prize. At the same time, the Organizing Committee introduced 13 scientific research topics to participate in the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2024 and 19 topics to participate in the 18th National Technical Innovation Competition (2024-2025).
