Neymar wrote a long letter on Instagram to apologize and explain his actions of cursing fans right on the field, after Santos recently lost 1-2 to Inter Porto Alegre.

Neymar is living the most difficult days of his career when returning to Santos. Three days ago, Santos lost 1-2 to Inter Porto Alegre and was pushed into the relegation zone, with the fourth position from the bottom, having 14 points after 15 matches.

To make matters worse, Neymar got into a heated argument with a Santos fan in the stands at the end of the match, and teammate Joao Paulo had to step in to break him up. This damaged the Brazilian striker's star image.

After the match, Neymar wrote an apology on Instagram with the content: "In the heat of the moment, it is difficult to control emotions when being unjustly insulted... Neymar also revealed the reason why he reacted so strongly to this fan: "That fan said that I was a mercenary with my father, said bad things about my family and friends... I'm sorry, but it's hard to control myself.

I came to Santos to try to help the club in the best way I can, both on and off the pitch!

And the day the fans think I can no longer help or I am damaging the club in any way, I will be the first to pack up and leave!
