Russia and China are actively preparing for a major event.

On October 2nd, Russia affirmed that it and China will continue to strengthen political dialogue at all levels, focusing on the diplomatic activities of their leaders.

According to TASS news agency, speaking at a press conference, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow and Beijing are actively preparing for Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the BRICS summit in Kazan in October.

Zakharova said: "We will continue to strengthen political dialogue at all levels, focusing on the diplomatic activities of leaders."

Both countries are currently focusing on cooperation and implementing initiatives in trade, transportation, logistics, finance, energy, agriculture , technology, industry, and mineral resources.

According to Zakharova, in the context of "increasing sanctions pressure from the West and a dual containment policy targeting both Russia and China, the priority is to ensure the reliable and uninterrupted operation of payment mechanisms to protect the legitimate interests of both countries."

Earlier, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations and China's National Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Xi Jinping held a telephone conversation, in which the two leaders expressed their appreciation for the relationship between Beijing and Moscow.

According to Xinhua news agency, President Xi Jinping affirmed his "readiness to work with President Putin to expand comprehensive and substantive cooperation between the two countries."

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized "the importance placed on friendly, good neighborly relations with Beijing. Despite the difficult international situation, the two sides have recently achieved qualitative growth in trade and implemented many large-scale bilateral projects in various fields."

The Russian leader also assessed the interactions between his country and China within the framework of the United Nations, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and other multilateral forums as effective and of great importance.
