A teacher of the modern era needs more than just that: adaptability to technology, the ability to inspire, emotional management skills, and a lifelong learning mindset. And that is why developing the teaching staff is becoming one of the top priorities for many educational institutions.
AtFPT Polytechnic, in addition to their teaching duties, faculty and staff also participate in a rather unique learning journey. Many call this a "professional privilege" because not every educational environment invests systematically in the holistic development of its teachers.
Learn AI before teaching AI.
In recent years, AI has become one of the most frequently mentioned keywords in education. While many places are still struggling to find ways to embrace this new technology, FPT Polytechnic has been continuously implementing AI training programs for its staff and lecturers throughout the entire system.

From ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot to AI platforms for building learning materials, designing lectures, and managing classes, instructors have had early access to and experience these tools. Numerous specialized workshops have been organized with the goal of helping staff understand AI as a "digital assistant" to accompany them in their work, rather than viewing it as a fleeting trend.
Many instructors acknowledge that tools once considered unfamiliar have now become an integral part of their daily work, saving time, improving teaching efficiency, and creating more space for interaction with students.
In addition, what many faculty and staff members remember most vividly are the "upgrading" sessions to protect themselves from all temptations, including technological advancements, and learning to control their own emotions.
These conversations didn't talk much about success.
Unlike their normal teaching and working days, when they were given a break from lectures, KPIs, and meetings to participate in a program called "X10 - Creating a Reality of Service," hundreds of FPT Polytechnic staff and lecturers were inspired by very real-life stories from "inspirational speaker" Pham Duy Hieu.

Without flashy speeches or formulaic presentations of success, former ABBank CEO Pham Duy Hieu shared experiences that are difficult to convey through books: the pressures of leadership, failures in the business world, inner limitations, and the journey of overcoming oneself.
What many attendees remembered most wasn't his accomplishments. It was the way this expert recounted moments of exhaustion, periods of work-life imbalance, the feeling of burnout from chasing goals, and times when he faced the choice to give up.
Many faculty members and lecturers said they saw themselves in those stories, because those working in education also face professional pressures, and sometimes experience self-doubt or a lack of motivation. "What everyone gains after each program is not only knowledge but also a feeling of being energized to continue their work," one lecturer shared.
With his positive energy, accumulated experience from years of business management, and practical insights from the marketplace, Pham Duy Hieu has become one of the most beloved speakers among the FPT Polytechnic team in recent times.
Many people call this speaker's talks a "spiritual vitamin boost" because after each program, what remains is not a few pages of notes, but a more positive, peaceful state of mind and a clearer understanding of the meaning of the work they are pursuing.
The ultimate beneficiaries are the future workforce.
Besides "inspirational figures" like experienced entrepreneurs such as Mr. Pham Duy Hieu, the staff and lecturers of FPT Polytechnic also regularly have the opportunity to meet leading experts in many fields such as Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem - a leading expert in non-traditional security in Vietnam; and Professor Vu Minh Khuong - a renowned overseas Vietnamese expert both domestically and internationally with many contributions to the development of science and technology in the country.
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phong – Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transformation, FPT Group, shared up-to-date knowledge on AI transformation levels within the Group and the community; along with renowned domestic and international experts on digital economy and digital transformation...
These meetings are not simply internal training activities. They are opportunities for educators to update their knowledge, broaden their perspectives, and enrich their life experiences.

According to Dr. Vu Chi Thanh, Principal of FPT Polytechnic College, investing in the teaching staff is essentially investing in the quality of future human resources. “A proactive teacher will create a proactive classroom. A teacher who continuously learns will produce students who are eager to learn. A teacher who understands technology will help learners confidently step into the future,” Dr. Thanh shared.
In the age of AI, education can change very rapidly. Technology can support many aspects of the teaching and learning process. But ultimately, education is still about people. And when teachers are able to learn, be inspired, and develop every day, those values will continue to spread to tens of thousands of students sitting in classrooms today. That is perhaps the greatest "privilege" that this educational environment is creating.
