The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 121 Ukrainian UAVs in the late night and early morning of January 24. Of these, six UAVs were dealt with above the Moscow region and one UAV was shot down over the capital city.

Other regions of Russia have also been targeted, including the region bordering Ukraine and Kursk, where the Ukrainian army has been conducting a military operation since August last year.

TASS reported that the Ukrainian military also launched 21 other UAVs in the Ryazan region, southeast of Moscow, and channels on the Telegram application posted video clips recording scenes of large fires occurring within the city.

Witnesses said an oil depot and power station in Ryazan were hit.

Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov said on Telegram that the emergency services were responding to the aftermath of an airstrike. Firefighters put out a fire after debris from a UAV hit a residential house.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said early on January 24 that the capital's air defense forces had intercepted attacks by Ukrainian UAVs in four locations around the city. Mr. Sobyanin said there were no casualties in the capital.

According to the mayor, two Ukrainian UAVs en route to Moscow were shot down by air defense forces in Podolsk, south of the capital. Another UAV was also dealt with in Troitsky, southwest of the capital, and in Shchyolkovo, northeast of Moscow.

Russian media quoted the Russian Federal Aviation Administration Rosaviatsiya as saying that two Moscow airports, Vnukovo and Domodedovo, resumed normal operations after being suspended at the time the Ukrainian UAV approached. Six flights were diverted to other airports.

The Russian Defense Ministry recorded attacks by Ukrainian UAVs in the border regions of Bryansk and Belgorod, the Crimean peninsula, as well as Saratov, Rostov, Voronezh, Tula, Oryol and Lipetsk.

While Ukraine launched UAV attacks on many regions of Russia, the Moscow government's military also attacked the capital Kyiv with UAVs.

Reuters quoted information from Ukrainian officials saying the attack was carried out on January 24, killing three civilians and damaging residential and commercial buildings.

Russia has not commented on the above information.
