During the peak summer tourist season, localities, tourist areas, and attractions throughout the province have proactively and flexibly innovated their products, organized a series of vibrant cultural and sports events, and focused on improving service quality... This has not only created attractiveness but also enriched the travel experiences of numerous tourists visiting Thanh Hoa.

Visiting Sam Son beach these days, you'll find the streets and roads brightly decorated, and the guesthouses, hotels, and restaurants modernized, as if they've donned a fresh new look to welcome tourists to visit and experience.

The beaches are always kept clean, beautiful, and spacious. During this year's April 30th - May 1st holiday, Mr. Trinh Van Dung (from Hanoi ) and his family chose Sam Son as their travel destination. Mr. Dung said: "This is my fourth time returning to Sam Son, and each time I come here, it gives me a feeling of relaxation and freshness. This year, the April 30th - May 1st holiday is longer, so I stayed here for two days to swim in the sea, enjoy local specialties, visit historical and cultural sites and scenic spots, and participate in many cultural events organized during this period. I am quite impressed with Sam Son beach because of its fresh air, clear blue water, and clean environment. Moreover, the people here are very friendly, open, and hospitable. And I'm sure that after this trip, my family and friends will return here many more times.”

To prepare for the vibrant summer tourist season and enhance the visitor experience, Sam Son has organized a series of cultural and sporting events to attract tourists. The highlight was the opening night of the Sam Son Tourism Festival 2026 (at the beach square stage), featuring a spectacular fireworks display combined with light and sound, illuminating the sky of the coastal city.

Next up is the Tropical Carnival at Sun World Sam Son Water Park, featuring vibrant and youthful Hawaiian dances performed by professional dancers, combined with many exciting challenging games, creating a multi-layered entertainment space suitable for various groups of tourists.

During the peak summer tourist season, most restaurants and hotels in Sam Son are fully booked. To meet the needs of tourists, restaurants and hotels here always focus on managing service prices, controlling business operations, ensuring environmental hygiene, and maintaining security and order. At the same time, they prioritize the application of digital technology in management, promotion, and providing information about the destination to facilitate tourists' visits and experiences.

Thanks to the flexibility and proactive approach of the local government and tourism businesses operating in Sam Son in innovating products, actively organizing cultural activities, and focusing on improving service quality, this place always attracts a large number of tourists during the summer. According to statistics, during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and April 30th - May 1st holidays alone, Sam Son welcomed 1.2 million visitors, leading the entire province.

Besides beach tourism, one of the products that attracts tourists during the summer, especially international visitors, is ecotourism and community-based tourism. Some destinations and ecotourism areas such as Pu Luong (Pu Luong commune), Ma village (Thuong Xuan commune), Nang Cat village - Ma Hao waterfall (Linh Son commune), But village (Nam Xuan commune), Lung village (Xuan Thai commune)... with their lush green nature and fresh air, always attract a large number of tourists to visit and experience.

Ms. Le Thi Tuan, a community tourism operator in Lung village (Xuan Thai commune), said: "To better serve the needs of tourists, community tourism households here have focused on developing diverse tourism products. Therefore, when visiting, tourists can participate in many activities such as: exploring the Muc River by canoe, kayaking, trekking, cloud hunting... In the evening, tourists can participate in cultural exchanges with the Thai ethnic people through traditional dances, bonfires, bamboo pole dancing, drumming, gong playing... Especially, tourists can also enjoy many delicious specialties of the mountains and forests such as sticky rice cooked in bamboo tubes, smoked buffalo meat, stream fish..."

Thanh Hoa, with its diverse range of destinations including spiritual tourism, beach tourism, adventure and experiential tourism, and highland tourism, along with numerous recreational activities, consistently attracts tourists. To meet the high demand during the peak summer tourist season, destinations and tourist areas in the province have proactively developed operational plans, refreshed products, and organized a series of unique cultural and sporting events to provide memorable experiences for visitors. Simultaneously, they have strengthened connections with travel agencies to develop and expand tours and routes, improve service quality, and create a rich and diverse travel experience for tourists exploring Thanh Hoa. These efforts not only provide crucial impetus for sustainable tourism development but also solidify Thanh Hoa's position on the Vietnamese tourism map.
