According to Director of the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) Tran Thi Ngoc Diem, over the past 5 years, the provincial education sector has continuously innovated, created, and strived to overcome many difficulties, especially in the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire sector has persistently followed the set goals and tasks; synchronously deployed solutions to improve the quality of comprehensive education. Many innovative models in teaching and application of information technology have been effectively implemented. Thereby, many examples of dedicated, creative, and devoted teachers have been recognized for their beloved students, and the quality of education has continued to be maintained and sustained. Many collectives and individuals have been awarded noble titles by the State and Government, such as: Excellent Teacher, Labor Medal, Government Emulation Flag, and Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
The Department of Education and Training has launched emulation movements in the education and training sector in response to emulation movements launched by the Government, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Ministry of Education and Training , such as: Emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning in the education sector, period 2020 - 2025", "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture", "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period 2023 - 2030", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "For the poor - No one is left behind", "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025"...
Launching the Education and Training Industry Data Axis
In particular, the work of leading and directing the innovation of organizing patriotic emulation movements is closely linked to promoting "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style". This is a key factor that helps emulation movements to have both professional significance and profound educational value, contributing to the formation of good moral qualities for cadres, teachers and students. At the same time, the discovery, training, summarizing and replicating advanced models have helped spread good experiences and effective methods, creating momentum for the overall development of the industry.
The effectiveness of the emulation movements has brought positive results. Thereby, An Giang province continues to maintain the standards of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, universal primary education level 3, universal secondary education level 2; and illiteracy eradication level 2. School facilities are increasingly spacious and modern, contributing to creating the best learning environment for students. The rate of schools meeting national standards increased from 42.92% in 2020 to 56.17% in early 2025.
Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Thi Ngoc Diem affirmed: “Science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation are decisive factors for the development of each country, in Vietnam, this is specified in Resolution 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo. The importance and benefits of digital transformation in education are to help provide quality education and equal opportunities for everyone, which is a condition for forming a lifelong learning society, building a digital economy, digital society, and digital citizens.
The education sector identifies digital transformation as an urgent requirement, a task that cannot be delayed, an important driving force for fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training. The entire education sector needs to take more drastic action, innovate thinking, take concrete and creative actions - so that each classroom is a digital space, each teacher is an exemplary digital citizen, each student is an active subject, has the opportunity to access technology and develop digital capacity in the digital age".
| On May 30, the Department of Education and Training launched the Education and Training Sector Data Axis - a centralized, interconnected system that connects data on students, teachers, management, teaching, and learning from all preschool and general education institutions in the province, connecting with the population database. This is an important turning point, opening the path to education modernization, helping to improve management efficiency, contributing to improving training quality. |
