Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Mr. Tran Cam Tu emphasized that after 96 years of construction and development, the working class and the Trade Union have continuously grown and made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country. To date, the country has more than 4,000 innovative start-up enterprises and more than 200 investment funds. Vietnam's global innovation index has continuously increased, from 76th in 2013 to 44th in 2024.
However, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu also pointed out the fact that our country's labor productivity is still low compared to the region and the world. The growth model still relies heavily on unskilled labor. The quality of human resources does not meet requirements, most workers lack professional skills.
Therefore, Mr. Tran Cam Tu affirmed that innovation is no longer a choice but an inevitable path for the country to develop quickly and sustainably.

In particular, he emphasized the need to include bonuses based on profit value in the collective labor agreement between enterprises and employees, considering this a "very correct and worthy" thing to do.
He also requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to fully absorb opinions and proposals at the Forum to conduct research, propose, contribute ideas, participate in building and perfecting legal policies, and share creative values.
