In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, emphasized that the program aims to honor the spirit of innovation and the desire to contribute of tens of millions of union members and workers. He said that this is a practical action in response to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Thereby, it demonstrates the determination of workers and trade unions to accompany the country, striving to achieve the target of socio-economic growth of over 8% in 2025.

According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the emulation movement “Good Labor - Creative Labor” has become a strong driving force, deeply permeating the regular activities of each union member and worker. This festival is a gathering of the quintessence from grassroots initiative movements.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Mr. Tran Cam Tu emphasized that after 96 years of construction and development, the working class and the Trade Union have continuously grown and made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country. To date, the country has more than 4,000 innovative start-up enterprises and more than 200 investment funds. Vietnam's global innovation index has continuously increased, from 76th in 2013 to 44th in 2024.

However, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu also pointed out the fact that our country's labor productivity is still low compared to the region and the world. The growth model still relies heavily on unskilled labor. The quality of human resources does not meet requirements, most workers lack professional skills.

Therefore, Mr. Tran Cam Tu affirmed that innovation is no longer a choice but an inevitable path for the country to develop quickly and sustainably.

Within the framework of the program, at the Forum “Promoting the creative potential of workers”, delegates frankly shared their personal experiences and achievements and pointed out the “bottlenecks” that hinder creativity; thereby proposing specific solutions to arouse and strongly promote creative potential, a key factor for innovation and sustainable development in the integration era.

In his closing speech at the Forum, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, emphasized that the multi-dimensional opinions accurately reflected the reality at the grassroots level.

To unleash creative resources, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front proposed specific solutions. He suggested studying and amending legal policies, especially tax policies, so that businesses can invest in employee initiatives as a reasonable expense.

In particular, he emphasized the need to include bonuses based on profit value in the collective labor agreement between enterprises and employees, considering this a "very correct and worthy" thing to do.

He also requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to fully absorb opinions and proposals at the Forum to conduct research, propose, contribute ideas, participate in building and perfecting legal policies, and share creative values.
