At the press conference, Ms. Quach Thi Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, said that since 1981, the mass art and culture movement praising President Ho Chi Minh, the Fatherland, and the Party has been formed under the name "Lang Sen Singing Festival". By 2002, this activity was upgraded to the Lang Sen Festival with a provincial scale (held annually) and a national scale (held every 5 years) on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.
Over the years, the Lotus Village Festival has attracted a large number of people from all walks of life, both within and outside the province, overseas Vietnamese, and international tourists. This is a political and cultural activity with profound significance, expressing the reverence and gratitude of the people towards President Ho Chi Minh – the national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure.
Through the festival, the dissemination and education of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style are further strengthened, linked to the effective implementation of the Directive on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style." At the same time, it contributes to promoting the image of Lang Sen village, Nghe An province, to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally; gradually developing tourism in a sustainable direction, exploiting unique products associated with the cultural, historical, and spiritual space of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.
