The ceremony took place solemnly on the evening of May 24th along the route from An Quang Ancestral Temple to Vietnam National Pagoda. This is a traditional event of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ho Chi Minh City during each Buddha's Birthday season. It is even more significant as the procession of the golden palanquin of the newborn Buddha during the Buddha's Birthday season was held for the first time after Ho Chi Minh City merged with Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Duong provinces, and after the first Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Delegates Congress for the 2026-2031 term.
The parade, featuring artists, created a unique cultural space, attracting public attention and contributing to spreading messages of peace, love, and wisdom to the community.

Many Misses and Runners-up also participated in the procession.
Furthermore, the presence of traditional Vietnamese elements further demonstrates the close connection between Buddhism and the nation: traditional ceremonial orchestras from all three regions of North, Central, and South Vietnam; hundreds of young Buddhists wearing various forms of traditional costumes in each procession group, as well as modern Ao Dai dresses, all contribute to showcasing the rich Vietnamese identity.

The artists all donned traditional Vietnamese costumes to participate in the parade.

This significant annual event also marks the beginning of the Buddha's Birthday week in Ho Chi Minh City.
