Artist Ngoc Be passed away at Thi Nghe Nursing Home

Artist Hoa Lan said: "Ms. Ngoc Be passed away this morning at Thi Nghe Nursing Home. The senior artists living here are extremely sad. She was old and sick, and for many years she was very weak, only lying in one place. Her grandchild came to visit her every day to help her with her hygiene. However, her memory was very clear. She passed away, leaving behind many beautiful memories of the stage, where she devoted her youth to music with her talent for playing the organ and playing the drums in the bands of the Cai Luong stage."

Artist Ngoc Be before his death

Artist Ngoc Be (real name Le Thi Tam) is one of the few artists accepted by People's Artist Phung Ha to live at the Ho Chi Minh City Artist Retirement Center - the only place in Ho Chi Minh City as well as in the whole country that takes care of stage artists in their old age.

Recently, artist Ngoc Be and 4 artists from the Ho Chi Minh City Artist Nursing Home and 2 artists (Mac Can and Huynh Thanh Tra) were received and cared for by the Thi Nghe Nursing Home in Ho Chi Minh City.

Artist Ngoc Be's funeral will be held at the Go Vap Artists' Temple, Ho Chi Minh City. Visitation starts at 3:00 p.m. on June 19.
