Over the years, artist Tra My has always been loved by audiences through her stage roles and especially the charming Tet comedies she plays. Outside the spotlight, artist Tra My has also quietly persevered on another journey: bringing the Giving Love program to hospitals, sharing with patients who are fighting against illness.

Initiated in 2022, Giving Love is a combination of singing, drama, and small gifts for patients. For artist Tra My, this is a way to bring art closer to the less fortunate so that they can have more faith, determination, and smiles in the midst of a difficult treatment journey. Many artists have accompanied artist Tra My such as: People's Artist Minh Hoa, Meritorious Artist Hong Lien, MC Thao Van, singer Ho Quang 8...
Artist Tra My shared with VietNamNet reporter that every time she entered the hospital and saw the tired but hopeful eyes of the patients, she could not help but be moved: "Sometimes just a song or a small skit is enough to make them forget the pain and the needles. At that time, I saw that art truly has magical power."

In the 4 seasons of Giving Love , the image of the female artist and her colleagues singing in the middle of the hospital space, handing out gifts to patients has become familiar. It is not only material support but also spiritual support, a comfort for patients to feel that they are not left behind.
Artist Tra My always believes that art is not only for big stages or brightly lit shows, but also needs to be present in seemingly impossible places, where people need a spiritual support the most. She believes that when artists sing, when smiles are given, they themselves also receive richness in their souls.
That humanitarian journey is also associated with profound experiences in the personal life of artist Tra My. Since her husband passed away after a serious illness, she became a single mother, raising her son Trong Phuc alone.

The years of raising her child alone have forged her strength, determination and enduring love. It is these experiences that help her better understand the hardships and difficulties of those who have to overcome adversity. And from there, she chose to bring positive energy, laughter and art to the sick, as a way to spread the love that she herself has always longed for and cherished.
For Tra My, using a mother's love to nurture an artist's heart and using her love of art to spread a mother's warmth to the community is her guiding principle in life.
