On the afternoon of August 30, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online conference with provinces and cities nationwide to collect comments on the draft Decree regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the land sector.

The 2024 Land Law has many new and important breakthrough contents, including regulations to strengthen inspection, examination and handling of land violations, and supplement many regulations requiring organizations and individuals to implement in order to manage and use land economically and effectively. Some violations, forms and levels of penalties are no longer suitable and need to be amended and supplemented to suit the actual situation and ensure feasibility.
The draft Decree consists of 4 chapters and 36 articles, of which 4 chapters remain the same and 8 articles are reduced compared to Decree No. 91/2019 of the Government . The scope of the draft includes regulations on administrative violations, forms of sanctions, levels of sanctions, remedial measures, authority to draw up records and authority to sanction administrative violations in the field of land, including violations in land use and violations in the implementation of land services.
Delegates assessed that violations in the land sector are currently quite common in many localities, so the content of the Decree must be easy to understand and apply, meeting the requirements in implementing the 2024 Land Law. In addition, delegates also said that it is necessary to expand the right to sanction administrative violations in the land sector to the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level...
Concluding the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested relevant ministries, branches, and the Standing Agency of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to absorb and synthesize comments to supplement the draft Decree, ensuring the conformity, consistency and unity between land law and other relevant legal provisions; the inheritance and stability of the land law system; amending and supplementing regulations that are not suitable to reality...
