To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the glorious Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), visitors to An Giang can explore historical sites and learn about the heroic revolutionary traditions. At the Ton Duc Thang Memorial Area on Ong Ho islet (Long Xuyen City), visitors can visit the temple, see the memorial house where Ton Duc Thang spent his childhood, and learn about the life, background, career, and revolutionary activities of this outstanding leader and close comrade-in-arms of President Ho Chi Minh.
The Tức Dụp Hill Historical Site (Tri Tôn district), also known as the "2 Million Dollar Hill," is associated with the heroic 128-day and 128-night battle fought by the people and army of An Giang during the resistance war against the American imperialists.
