Heartwarming moments for the families of those who have rendered meritorious service.

Fifty years have passed since her husband and son successively sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, yet Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Le (91 years old, Long Thanh hamlet, Phuoc Long commune) silently calls for her husband and son to return through the fragrant incense sticks.

Mother Nguyen Thi Le's husband, Vo Van Nay (alias Nam Thanh), joined the revolution in 1945 in Battalion 307. In 1969, he held the position of District Party Committee member and Head of the Propaganda Department of Hong Dan District, and bravely sacrificed his life in 1972. Their son, Vo Van Roi (born in 1956), joined the revolution in 1970 in Battalion U Minh 2 ( Ca Mau province) and died in 1973. His remains were not found and reburied until 1979.

Comrade Ho Thanh Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Le.

Mother Le herself was wholeheartedly committed to the revolution. From being the head of the Women's Supply Team, the head of the Women's National Salvation Team, to working in military mobilization, she was later captured and imprisoned by the enemy. After liberation, she continued working at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and as the Vice President of the Women's Association of Hong Dan district until her retirement. Even now, despite her advanced age, her memory remains sharp. She often tells her children and grandchildren about the heroic years of fighting the enemy, the sacrifices and losses of the nation and loved ones to regain independence and freedom for her descendants to enjoy today.

" I am very happy that every year during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), the local authorities send people to visit, give gifts, and inquire about my health. In addition, they provide a lot of support to my family, both in terms of daily life and morale. My relatives and I are very touched," said Mother of Vietnamese Heroic Martyrs Nguyen Thi Le happily.
