In the past period, self-criticism and criticism at all levels of Party committees and organizations have been conducted seriously and effectively. In particular, with the organization of the political activity on Party building and rectification and the political system with the theme "self-reflection and self-correction" according to Conclusion No. 21 throughout the province, each cadre and Party member, in their respective positions and responsibilities, has seriously "self-reflected" to develop plans to correct and overcome shortcomings and weaknesses, proposing practical solutions with a determined spirit of "self-correction" in the coming period.
In implementing Conclusion 21 dated October 25, 2021, of the 4th Central Committee Conference (13th term), the Standing Committee of the Thang Binh District Party Committee directed the organization of a political activity on building and rectifying the Party and the political system in the district with the theme "Self-reflection and self-correction" linked to the topic "The will for self-reliance, self-strength, and the aspiration for a prosperous and happy country."
The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee also determined that self-reflection, self-correction, and self-criticism must be carried out continuously and without interruption to contribute to building and rectifying the Party. At the same time, it directed Party branches and committees to strengthen management and inspection of the implementation of individual plans and commitments to setting a good example among cadres and Party members.
According to Mr. Phan Cong Vy, Secretary of the Thang Binh District Party Committee, the self-criticism and self-correction process for collectives and individuals, as well as the issues raised at Party branch meetings, were carried out seriously in a democratic, frank, united, and constructive spirit.
The feedback received has contributed to a shift in awareness and sense of responsibility, highlighting pioneering and exemplary behavior, helping Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, and Party members recognize their shortcomings and weaknesses, thereby identifying the causes and finding solutions to overcome them.
"The results have created a ripple effect, raising awareness, a sense of responsibility, and self-discipline among each Party organization, cadre, and Party member in studying and training, contributing to strengthening the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members," Mr. Vy observed.
Taking the strict implementation of the principle of self-criticism and criticism as the driving force for the development of the Party organization, and at the same time closely adhering to reality, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc has led and directed the organization and implementation of extensive political review and criticism sessions within Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units, cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees, creating a positive impact and positive changes.
Notable examples include the political campaign of "self-reflection and self-correction" as outlined in Conclusion No. 21 mentioned above; and the thematic campaign on "Improving the sense of responsibility and effectiveness in performing official duties of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees under the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc"...
This has highlighted shortcomings and limitations in Party building, agency and unit building, and mass organization building. It has also clearly identified manifestations of shirking and avoiding responsibility; determined the causes; and proposed tasks and solutions to overcome weaknesses in various aspects of work and the spirit and attitude of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees in performing their duties.
Mr. Thai Binh , Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, shared that the review process not only focuses on the issues and suggestions for review and clarification each year, but also includes issues and problems that each collective and individual recognizes and needs to address and learn from.
At the same time, it is necessary to clearly define the responsibilities of each Party committee and organization in arousing and spreading positive energy and responsibility, creating new motivation, especially the aspiration for development and contribution of each cadre, Party member, civil servant, and public employee in the province's development journey. This contributes to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and the quality of the cadre and Party member workforce in the new period.
Promoting a spirit of exemplary conduct and self-discipline.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assessed that the work of Party building and rectification has seen clear progress. Political, ideological, and moral work has been given due attention.
The entire Party Committee has extensively organized political activities, promptly implementing the thematic programs for the entire term and annually in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, contributing to the stability of political thought amidst the complex developments of the world situation, the difficulties at home and at the provincial level.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, said that cadres and Party members, especially those in leadership positions, have taken the lead and set an example by voluntarily conducting self-criticism and criticism sessions.
At the same time, we should compare ourselves with the Party's regulations and conclusions on Party building and rectification, and on the responsibility of setting an example, in order to "self-reflect" with the spirit of "promoting what is good, correcting what is lacking, and cleansing and correcting what is bad."
Do not allow relatives or family members to exploit your position for personal gain; uphold the principles of Party organization and activities, promote democracy, and be frank with a high sense of self-awareness and responsibility in self-criticism and criticism.
In evaluating the Party building work of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged that the annual review, evaluation, and classification of the quality of grassroots Party organizations and Party members were implemented seriously, strictly, and in accordance with regulations by Party committees and organizations at all levels.
Before conducting the review, Party committees at all levels identify key priorities and focal points to guide implementation. For areas with complex issues or public concerns, the Standing Committee of the Party committee at each level assigns its members and advisory bodies to provide suggestions for the review and requests collective and individual reports and explanations. Simultaneously, a Standing Committee member in charge, along with leaders of the advisory bodies, directly attends and supervises the review.
In the review, serious self-criticism and criticism were conducted in accordance with the spirit of Central Resolution 4 (11th and 12th Congresses) and Conclusion No. 21 of the 4th Central Conference (13th Congress).
Following the year-end quality assessment and ranking, the higher-level Party committee promptly directed the development of plans and measures to address the shortcomings and limitations identified during the review of Party organizations and members who failed to fulfill their duties or had many weaknesses and limitations, and whose political performance was limited and did not meet the set goals and targets.
