From Party building and effective mass mobilization to mobilizing social resources, maintaining security and order, and building a cultural life, Comrade Nguyen Trong Thuy has always been a key figure in uniting and creating consensus, contributing to changing the face of rural areas towards a civilized and sustainable direction.
Exemplary leadership core
As the Party Branch Secretary and Head of Do Nhan Ha village, Comrade Nguyen Trong Thuy has always clearly understood that for a strong Party branch and a stable and developing village, the leader must first be exemplary and willing to take responsibility. In Party branch activities as well as in daily work, he always strictly adheres to regulations, closely follows the leadership of the commune Party Committee, promotes democracy, and listens to the opinions of Party members and the people.
Not only did he successfully complete his assigned tasks, but he also proactively studied, researched, and self-trained to improve his skills and expertise in grassroots work. He considered studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style as a regular and continuous practice, linked to each specific task. As a result, a sense of responsibility and a people-oriented, people-respecting, and people-serving approach have spread throughout the cadres and party members of the branch.
In particular, as Party branch secretary, Comrade Nguyen Trong Thuy always focused on propaganda and political and ideological education, creating unity in awareness and action among cadres, Party members, and the masses. He truly served as a "bridge" between the Party's will and the people's hearts, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party organization and the government at the grassroots level.
One of Comrade Nguyen Trong Thuy's outstanding achievements is his decisive and flexible approach to mass mobilization work. Under his direct leadership, the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement in Do Nhan Ha village was comprehensively implemented across many fields, going into depth and yielding clear results.
In the land clearance process – a field inherently fraught with complexities – he, along with the Party branch, persistently campaigned, engaged in dialogue, explained, and fostered consensus among the people.
Notably, he successfully persuaded 20 households to vacate over 10,000m² of land for the Phuc Viet project without resorting to forced eviction; he also directly supervised and successfully mediated 5 land-related cases, contributing to maintaining stability in the locality.
Furthermore, with his approachability, understanding, and perseverance, he successfully persuaded 18 households to voluntarily dismantle illegally constructed steel-framed, corrugated iron-roofed structures on agricultural land that had existed for many years; and coordinated with relevant agencies to address the issue and restore the land for irrigation canals and transportation corridors.
These actions not only demonstrate the strictness of the law but also show the effectiveness of the "slow and steady" approach in mass mobilization.
Spreading positive values from the grassroots level.
Under the leadership of Party branch secretary Nguyen Trong Thuy, the movement to build a cultured way of life in the residential area has achieved many outstanding results. The entire village has established 19 "self-governing alleys" for environmental sanitation and security; the annual rate of cultured families averages 96%; and approximately 97% of deceased individuals are cremated for civilized funerals.
In particular, the mobilization of social resources for the construction of public welfare projects has been implemented systematically, openly, and transparently, creating trust and strong support from the people.
Many projects worth hundreds of millions of dong have been completed, such as: the Do Ha cultural village gate, valued at approximately 800 million dong from 100% funding; the Do Ha village communal house project has been put into use; and the traditional village festival has been restored and modernized in a civilized and healthy direction.
In addition, a series of transportation and cultural-sports projects have been built through the collective efforts of the community, such as: paving the road through the village with asphalt worth approximately 600 million VND, connecting 6 businesses that donated 1 billion VND to build internal concrete roads… These telling figures clearly reflect the spirit of solidarity and the people's trust in the Party branch leader.
Evaluating the role and prestige of the Party Secretary of Do Nhan Ha village, the Secretary of the Me Linh Commune Party Committee, Nguyen Anh Tuan, affirmed: “Comrade Nguyen Trong Thuy is a model grassroots official with a high sense of responsibility, a deep understanding of practical matters, and a commitment to putting words into action. In his capacity as Party Secretary and Village Head, he has effectively played a leading role in the residential area, particularly excelling in mass mobilization, land clearance, mobilizing social resources, and building national unity. The achievements of Do Nhan Ha village in recent times have been significantly contributed to by Comrade Thuy's dedication and exemplary conduct.”
Not only highly appreciated by the Party Committee, the dedication of Party Branch Secretary Nguyen Trong Thuy is also recognized by cadres, Party members, and the people in the village with trust and consensus. Party member Ngo Van Ken, who has been active in the branch for many years in Do Nhan Ha village, shared: “What we value most about the Secretary is that he is always close to the people. He directly goes to the affected areas to discuss and explain difficult issues, without avoiding them. Thanks to him, many seemingly difficult problems in the village have been resolved smoothly.”
Through persistent efforts, for five consecutive years (from 2021-2025), Comrade Nguyen Trong Thuy was recognized by all levels as an outstanding Party member; he received Certificates of Commendation from the former Me Linh District Party Committee and People's Committee, and was selected as a "Good Person, Good Deed"; in 2025, he was recognized by the Me Linh Commune Party Committee as an outstanding Party Branch Secretary.
