People can register for temporary and permanent residence on VNeID.

(Dan Tri) - In the latest version 2.1.17, the VNeID application allows people to register for permanent and temporary residence.

On March 24, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06 - Ministry of Public Security ) said that people can now register for permanent and temporary residence through the VNeID application, the latest version 2.1.17.

Accordingly, after a pilot period with citizens in Ha Nam province and Ho Chi Minh City, Department C06 has completed the process and solutions for receiving permanent and temporary residence registration applications on the VNeID application to implement nationwide.

Department C06 said this is a new step in administrative procedure reform, helping people to be autonomous in managing personal information and updating their place of residence.

Step 1: Log in to VNeID account -> Administrative procedures -> Temporary residence registration.

Step 2: Select Create new request and click on Temporary residence registration for yourself or Declaration for others.

Step 3: Check temporary residence registration information.

People can choose the type of temporary registration to create a new household or register with an existing household.

Then choose the form of confirmation of consent of the head of household, legal owner of accommodation, parent/guardian via VNeID application or Residence information change declaration form (CT01).

Next, fill in the full name and personal identification number of the head of household or legal owner of the accommodation.

Step 4: Select the information of the place to register temporary residence from the provincial, district/county to commune/ward/town level. Here, people need to fill in detailed information of their temporary residence address including house number, street number, relationship with the head of household.

If there are other family members registering for temporary residence, people choose Add member and fill in the required information.

Step 5: Confirm profile information.

After filling in all the information according to the instructions, people will confirm the information again. If they need to edit, just press the back arrow key in the upper left corner of the screen.

The application allows you to choose to receive results via email or directly at the police station of the commune/ward where you registered for temporary residence.

Step 6: Attach relevant documents: House rental contract; Documents proving legal residence; Declaration of change of residence information (CT01).

Step 7: Pay the fee.

In addition to the VNeID application, it is still possible to register for temporary residence online through the National Public Service Portal.

People can also track the application processing and manage submitted applications right on the VNeID application.
