With over 700 applications, the Central Committee of the Youth Union selected 201 official delegates to attend the 2025 Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals and invited 15 highly reputable scientists to participate in the advisory board. The official delegates of the forum are expected to meet with leaders of the Party and State.
This information was just announced by the Central Committee of the Youth Union at a press conference this morning, July 14th.
To concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation , the 6th Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals was themed “Young Vietnamese Intellectuals Globally Contribute to the Nation's Entry into a New Era”. The forum was held from July 19 to 21 in Hanoi .
According to Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and Standing Member of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Youth Union, this year's delegation has a diverse structure, harmoniously combining experienced scientists and dynamic young intellectuals who are pursuing research at leading scientific institutions around the world.
The official delegates included 1 professor, 31 associate professors and assistant professors, 150 PhDs, and 19 masters/doctoral researchers, with nearly 36% of the delegates working abroad in more than 20 countries and territories. The scientific advisory council consisted of 6 professors, 6 associate professors, and 3 PhDs, all young scientists with great prestige in the global intellectual community.
Leading up to the 6th Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and the Steering Committee of the Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals organized 5 seminars and workshops covering 4 content groups, attracting more than 1,000 young intellectuals and scientific research students who registered to participate, with 32 presentations from speakers who are delegates and advisors of the forum.
This year's forum features many innovations in content, format, and approach. Besides inheriting the serious academic spirit and consistent networking of previous editions, the program places greater emphasis on connecting young intellectuals with national development practices through hands-on activities, in-depth dialogues with leading corporations, technology models, and innovation ecosystems in Vietnam.
The discussion topics were also designed to focus more on emerging global issues that require contributions from young intellectuals – those at the forefront of innovation, research, and future development. The dialogue sessions were not only theoretical but also focused on making substantive policy recommendations that could be translated into concrete action after the forum.

Specifically, during the discussion session, forum delegates will focus their intellect on four main areas: applying AI and new technologies to enhance labor productivity; innovative startups linked to the green economy and sustainable development; sustainable adaptation to the challenges of global change; and developing cultural and educational foundations in the new era.
The products published after the forum include: a report of recommendations from the global community of young Vietnamese intellectuals (including recommendations); a report documenting mechanisms and recommendations to promote the role of young Vietnamese intellectuals globally in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045; a database of young Vietnamese intellectuals globally; and the forum proceedings (online).
The Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals is an annual forum organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union since 2018. Over five editions, the forum has attracted the participation of more than 1,000 young intellectuals from Vietnam and abroad, contributing to programs and policies related to the development of young Vietnamese talent.
This forum serves as a platform for exchange between young intellectuals both domestically and internationally to discuss the vision, mission, role, and potential contributions of young Vietnamese intellectuals in national construction and development, and to promote Vietnam's deep economic integration with the region and the world. The forum also discusses and proposes practical and effective mechanisms for attracting and developing talent, encouraging young Vietnamese intellectuals to proactively contribute to the country's innovation and development.
