According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Yen, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, as the leading economic and science-technology center in the country, Ho Chi Minh City is striving to concretize Resolution 57-NQ/TW, while simultaneously addressing practical challenges in the fields of transportation, healthcare, education, environment, tourism, etc., based on data, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies suitable to its unique urban context.
“Techmart 2025 is one of the solutions to realize the policies of the Party, the State, and the City. The specialized Techmart on digital transformation for building smart cities in 2025 is organized to create a space for connection, sharing, and cooperation, connecting supply and demand, and bringing technology from universities, research institutions, and businesses to units that need to apply it,” Mr. Yen said.
Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology believe that Techmart 2025 is expected to be a highlight with a real impact in transforming ideas into solutions, a place to share experiences, build partnerships, and contribute to the overall digital transformation strategy, helping Ho Chi Minh City move faster on its journey to building a smart city – a city that operates on data, is intelligently connected, and puts its citizens at the center.
This year's Techmart attracted over 100 technologies and equipment from 50 institutes, universities, and businesses both domestically and internationally, participating in promotion and transfer. Accordingly, the exhibition area was arranged into four main content groups, closely aligned with the practical needs of the city.
The urban management exhibition area showcases solutions applying big data and artificial intelligence to support operation and monitoring, contributing to building a greener, smarter, and more sustainable city. The healthcare exhibition area demonstrates how smart data technologies help improve the quality of medical examinations and treatments, shorten processing times, and enhance healthcare services for citizens.
The education exhibition area showcases solutions that innovate management, teaching, and learning methods on a digital platform, thereby developing high-quality human resources for the city. Finally, there is the tourism exhibition area, where smart tourism technologies enhance the visitor experience, increase service quality, and effectively promote the city's image.
Alongside the exhibition area, Techmart 2025 also organized 14 technology demonstration seminars and a free expert consultation area with 8 experts from institutes and universities to support customers in selecting and implementing effective digital transformation solutions. All information and functions of Techmart operate on a 24/7 online exhibition platform, allowing users to browse anytime, anywhere without being limited by time or distance.
Particularly within the framework of the opening ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology also officially launched the expanded version of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Information Portal (Techport.vn), acting as an online technology exchange platform and a hub connecting technology supply and demand in the city and other localities.
Techmart 2025, specializing in digital transformation and smart city development, will take place over two days, December 11-12, at the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange (79 Truong Dinh Street, Ben Thanh Ward), and will also be open for online visits via the techmart.techport.vn platform.
