An updated version of the upcoming Hyundai Accent has been spotted undergoing road testing in South Korea, offering a clearer look at the sedan's redesigned styling ahead of its expected launch in early 2026.
New images from South Korea show a heavily camouflaged red Accent test vehicle, with the front and rear exposed, but the side profile visible. The rearview mirrors, windshield, body lines, and overall design features appear unchanged.

Notably, the alloy wheels seen here are similar to those on the current Indian market version of the Verna – further suggesting the update will only bring minor tweaks rather than a radical facelift. The camouflage behind hides the taillight details, but the connected LED taillights – now a trademark of the Accent – are expected to continue with sharper internal graphics.
The sporty fastback roofline remains unchanged. At the front, the updated version will feature upgraded LED headlights and daytime running lights, creating a look very similar to the IONIQ 6 N electric sports coupe. The biggest upgrade is expected to be inside the cabin. Earlier test images from India show a new curved dual-screen setup, similar to that on the 2025 Hyundai Venue.

The current Accent already has dual 10.25-inch screens, but the upgraded version will likely feature two 12.3-inch screens with a more intuitive and faster interface and software. The test vehicle also revealed a new D-shaped steering wheel, finished with a slim and modern design — again inspired by newer Hyundai models.
For the 2026 upgrade, Hyundai plans to expand its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite to Level 2. Hyundai will likely fine-tune the sensors and software to improve accuracy, similar to the upgrades seen in newer models.

Current ADAS features include: Forward Collision Avoidance System. Blind Spot Monitoring System. Lane Keeping Assist. Lane Departure Warning. Intelligent Cruise Control with Stop & Go function. Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Driver Attention Warning.
Regarding the engine, the Accent facelift is not expected to have any changes. With prototypes being tested in both India and South Korea, the upgraded version appears to be in an advanced development stage. Therefore, the car could launch in early 2026.
