Man in Ca Mau was stung to death by more than 100 hornets

On May 17, a leader of Quach Pham commune (Dam Doi district, Ca Mau) confirmed that Mr. NXD (former deputy director of Dam Doi district Political Center, residing in Quach Pham commune) died after being stung by a wasp.

According to initial information, at noon on May 14, Mr. D. went fishing about 8km from his house. While fishing, he hit a hornet's nest and was stung all over his body (more than 100 times).

After running away from the beehive area, Mr. D. called his relatives to take him home. Then, Mr. D. was taken by his family to the commune health station for first aid and then transferred to Cai Nuoc District General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Due to being stung by so many wasps, Mr. D.'s condition became more serious and he was transferred to a hospital in Can Tho City for treatment. However, the patient was later taken home and died.
