International users suffer when Xiaomi 17 series cuts this

The heat around the Xiaomi 17 series has not cooled down yet, but recently, leaked information shows a notable difference between the Chinese version and the international version of this flagship model.

Accordingly, Xiaomi continues to apply a policy of separating configurations for each market, especially in battery capacity, a factor that directly affects daily usage experience.

Sources in the technology industry said that the Chinese domestic version of Xiaomi 17 will be equipped with a battery capacity of up to 7,000 mAh, promising the ability to operate continuously all day long.

However, the international version of the device will be “downsized” to 6,300 mAh, 700 mAh lower than the Chinese version.

However, the fast charging speed on the two versions is still similar. Both the Chinese and international versions are equipped with 100W wired fast charging technology, helping users recharge in a short time, almost making no significant difference in the actual experience.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 17 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, Qualcomm's latest high-end chip, promising significant improvements in speed, AI processing capabilities and energy efficiency.

The device will run HyperOS 3 interface based on Android 16, deeply integrated in the Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem to bring a more synchronized and intelligent experience.

According to current reports, the Xiaomi 17 Pro series will only be sold in China, while the standard Xiaomi 17 will be the only model released globally.

Thus, with a 6,300 mAh battery and 100 W fast charging, the international version of Xiaomi 17 is still strong enough to become a strong competitor in the flagship segment in early 2026.
