Recently, Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) awarded Jackpot 2 in the Power 6/55 lottery at the 1019th drawing to Ms. M. - owner of a VinaPhone subscriber - with a prize value of more than 25 billion VND.
Previously, through checking the lottery business data system and the attached personal profile, Vietlott determined that Ms. M. won the Jackpot 2 prize in the Power 6/55 lottery, drawing 1019 on April 9, 2024, with a prize value of VND 25,409,725,000. The winning numbers were 04 - 12 - 22 - 27 - 44 - 51.
Ms. M. lives in Kien Giang province, is a housewife and takes care of a sick child. She and her husband are both regular players of Vietlott's lottery and maintain the habit of buying one or two tickets every day for luck.
This woman said that that day, around 4pm, she suddenly remembered to log in to the Vietlott SMS application to buy a ticket. She clicked to choose for the third time before finding a satisfactory number to buy.
That night, after taking her child to the hospital to receive IV medication, she received a call from Vietlott informing her of her winnings and confirming her personal documents.
"At that time, I calmly read my ID number to confirm the information. After ending the call, I went to the Vietlott website and the application to check again and saw that I had won. I was really happy and a little worried about winning such a large amount of money. I was happy because this money could solve my family's current difficulties, but I was worried about how to use this money appropriately," Ms. M. shared.
Ms. M. said that after telling her husband the good news, she and her husband decided to use part of the money to pay off debt, treat their child's illness, and bring their parents back to take care of them.
At the award ceremony, Ms. M. shared: “When I encountered difficulties in life, I received help from benefactors. Therefore, I supported Tam Tai Viet Fund with 300 million VND to implement social security programs, helping those in difficult circumstances in society.”
According to regulations, Ms. M. is obliged to pay personal income tax at the place of registration to participate in the prize, Kien Giang province, with a total value of more than 2.5 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND) and is deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
