In 2025, there will be more than 45 Vietnamese films released in theaters, one and a half times more than in 2024. So far, many films have reached the hundred billion dong mark in revenue after only a few days of release. The film industry in our country is still bustling, but for many young people, career doors are still not very open.

According to director Charlie Nguyen, the Vietnamese film market is currently lacking in good scriptwriters and professional filmmakers. All three guests at the workshop presented the functions and tasks of directors, assistant directors, producers, cinematographers, cameramen, and even assistants for each stage of film production... to show that the film industry is currently in great need of human resources in many stages.

In addition to knowledge and experience, producer and director Hang Trinh highlighted the necessary criteria for young people to have the opportunity to approach filmmakers, thereby demonstrating their abilities. According to her, the most important thing when wanting to become a director is to be able to convey ideas and communicate well with other parts of the film crew. "Young people need to choose a story to tell and put their whole heart and soul into it to hope to succeed," said director Hang Trinh.

Director Charlie Nguyen affirmed that soft skills are needed such as perseverance, working attitude, and not being afraid of difficulties when having the opportunity to do anything for the film crew. "Cinema is passion and effort, not a walk in the park, walking on the red carpet, being admired, but on the contrary, it requires commitment and sometimes sacrifice," he affirmed.
