The subjects include: Choi Minsu (born 1999), Choi Jinwoo (born 2000) and Seo Jaeseok (born 1997).
This is a group of subjects wanted by Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) at the request of Korea for crimes of fraud, organized crime, and human trafficking.
According to records from Korean authorities, the three subjects ran an online romance scam ring at the Bavet complex (bordering Cambodia - Vietnam), using Deepfake technology to impersonate women and approach many male victims.
After building trust, they lure victims into “paid travel missions” with promises to cover accommodation, airfare, and refund them upon completion of the mission.
After luring victims to Vietnam or Thailand, the group continued to lure them to Cambodia, then confiscated their passports, detained them, and forced them to learn "fraud scripts" to commit online fraud.
From August to December 2024, the line appropriated about 1 million USD.
In mid-October 2025, upon receiving information that the subjects had fled from Cambodia to Vietnam and were hiding in Da Nang, the Immigration Department of Da Nang City Police deployed synchronous professional measures, verified and discovered that all 3 were hiding in a hotel in An Hai ward.
On the morning of October 28, the Immigration Department coordinated with the Mobile Police Department and An Hai Ward Police to arrest 3 subjects.
During the struggle, all three confessed that they were wanted by Interpol.
