Training on vaccination and expanded immunization data management

From December 2-5, the City Center for Disease Control (CDC) organized a training course to strengthen vaccination and manage expanded vaccination data for trainees who are staff of the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention; leaders of the Department of Disease Control and vaccination specialists of 18 old Quang Nam Regional Medical Centers.

Accordingly, students are updated and practice many important contents, such as: legal documents on vaccination, knowledge about vaccines, subjects and vaccination schedules; cold chain - vaccine preservation, automatic temperature monitoring; vaccination safety, prevention of professional errors; practice injection techniques; pre-vaccination screening and practice screening form; organize vaccination sessions; handle and monitor post-vaccination reactions; monitor soft tissue paralysis/polio, measles - rubella, tetanus/neonatal tetanus and diseases in expanded immunization.

As well as, data management, reporting forms; subject management on the national vaccination system; duplicate identification and handling process and direct practice on the system.

MSc. Dang Quang Anh, Deputy Head of the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention (CDC Da Nang ) said that currently the vaccination rate is uneven, many children have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated. Along with that, the management of subjects is not unified, and the national vaccination information system has not been fully utilized in statistics and reporting.

The training course helps trainees share experiences, find practical and feasible solutions; update new guidelines; improve data management and standardization skills; contribute to safe, effective and synchronous vaccination implementation at units.
