Knowledge playground - where creative thinking is formed for students

ĐNO - Intellectual playgrounds such as the Olympics, technology festivals or green library models... are becoming environments that help Da Nang students develop their abilities, practice their bravery and foster creative thinking. Therefore, many high schools in the area have proactively invested in and created conditions for students to conquer intellectual playgrounds and achieve many positive results.

Currently, many high schools in the city such as Tran Phu High School and Thanh Khe High School... have proactively invested in and encouraged students to participate in large-scale intellectual playgrounds outside the locality and achieved remarkable results.

At the High School Olympic Exam, Hanoi National University, Foreign Languages, school year 2025 - 2026, students of Tran Phu High School left a strong impression with their confident demeanor, flexible language thinking and good situation handling ability.

In the playground that gathered many excellent students from specialized schools across the country, three students Tan Phuong Khanh (11/15), Nguyen Viet Hien An (12/12) and Pham Minh Hoai An (12/2) achieved admirable results, demonstrating maturity in knowledge and competitive spirit.

Not only in the field of foreign languages, the students also affirmed their abilities in social sciences . At another Olympic exam of Hanoi National University held in October, Do Nguyen Nam Phong (12/14) achieved high results in History; Pham Nguyen Khanh Huyen (12/13) impressed in Literature. This result reflects the even development between the subject groups and shows the serious and continuous training process of teachers and students of the school.

Sharing after the exam, Nam Phong said that participating in the academic playground helped him practice critical thinking, strengthen his learning methods and especially nurture his passion for History.

“Each training session is a new journey. I learn to look at problems from multiple perspectives and become more confident in expressing my opinions,” Phong shared.

That spirit of exploration continues to be extended in other playgrounds, especially in the field of technology. At the 2025 Digital Technology Festival - TDF Annual Tech Camp organized by the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City at the end of November, students from Tran Phu High School participated with two applied research topics: smart traffic lights using AI to help reduce congestion and a color classification system. The products were highly appreciated for their practicality and problem-solving ability.

According to Mr. Nguyen Cuu Huy, Principal of Tran Phu High School, participating in academic playgrounds and experiential activities is not aimed at chasing achievements, but towards building an open educational environment where students have the opportunity to maximize their abilities.

“When exposed to reality and competitions, students will learn to self-study, overcome pressure and discover themselves. That is important luggage for the future,” Mr. Huy emphasized.

Along with academic playgrounds, Da Nang students also participate in projects of community value. Within the framework of the cooperation program with UNICEF in Vietnam, Da Nang City Youth Union is implementing the project "Building a green library model" in 2025, aiming to raise awareness of climate change, protect the school environment and promote reading culture.

The project includes many stages from team formation, skills training to workshops and practical implementation at school libraries.

"What we see most clearly is that students are extremely excited to create a library that bears their own mark. From designing green spaces, reading areas, to applying technology for management, every step is proposed by the students themselves. This is an opportunity for them to practice initiative, teamwork skills and community responsibility," said Mr. Le The Toan, Secretary of the Youth Union of Son Tra High School.

That shows that Da Nang general education is moving towards encouraging creativity, initiative and experience.

Intellectual playgrounds are not only places to assess abilities, but also environments that help students broaden their perspectives, foster sustainable learning inspiration, and build competitiveness in the context of rapidly changing knowledge.

When schools boldly innovate, teachers inspire and students are given opportunities, good values ​​will blossom. From small classrooms to large playgrounds, from intellectual competitions to community projects, the story of today's high school students is not just about achievements, but also about a journey of aspirations and growth in the integration era.

"Green libraries are a way for us to bring young people closer to reading culture and civic responsibility in the context of increasingly evident climate change. The important goal is to create a sustainable change in awareness from loving books, appreciating trees to the ability to propose environmental solutions suitable for each school," said Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union Le Cong Hung.
