Gia Lai: 9th grade student stabbed his friend with a knife

A case of a student stabbing a friend just happened at Nguyen Van Cu Secondary School (Thong Nhat Ward, Gia Lai) causing a 9th grade male student to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

On the morning of December 5, Ms. Hoang Thuy Ngan, Principal of Nguyen Van Cu Secondary School (Thong Nhat Ward, Gia Lai ), confirmed the incident in which a student used a knife to stab a friend during a fight in front of the school gate, injuring one student and requiring him to be taken to the emergency room.

According to the school, at around 11:30 a.m. on December 1, after morning classes, two male 9th grade students, NVT and TVB, met at a coffee shop on Ky Con Street, right in front of the school gate, to resolve a previous conflict.

There, the two continued to argue and then started fighting. During the fight, T. pulled out a knife he had brought with him and stabbed B. in the chest, injuring the male student and requiring him to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Ms. Hoang Thuy Ngan said that the two students were close friends, but because of a temporary conflict and impulsive thinking, they acted foolishly. Although the incident happened outside the school grounds and outside of school hours, the school is still paying special attention and will come up with appropriate measures.
