Despite his young age (born in 1997), Hoang Minh Duc has already amassed a considerable record of achievements, including two consecutive years (2023, 2024) as an outstanding grassroots emulation soldier; in 2024, he received a Certificate of Commendation from the Head of the General Political Department for his outstanding achievements in youth union activities and youth movements (2017-2024); and he was awarded the title of Outstanding Youth Union Cadre by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the period 2019-2024. Furthermore, Duc is also recognized as an Outstanding Young Person of the Armed Forces of Military Region 1 in 2024 and has achieved many other accomplishments in training and mission performance.

Achieving such a proud record of accomplishments is the result of the young officer's continuous efforts, dedication, and creativity. As the Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union branch, Lieutenant Hoang Minh Duc constantly reflects, ponders, and seeks advice from the Party Committee and unit commanders, exchanging ideas with members of the executive committee to find ways to attract and mobilize the strength of the Regiment's youth in various movements and activities. At the same time, he designs and creates playgrounds to help Youth Union members, especially young soldiers, integrate, confidently assert, and demonstrate their abilities in a new environment. With a proactive and eager-to-learn spirit, Hoang Minh Duc takes advantage of his time to study online, referencing effective, practical, and beneficial Youth Union activity models on mass media, and then conveying and guiding the branches to implement them.

In addition, Hoang Minh Duc proactively reported to the Party Committee and unit commanders, requesting permission to coordinate with the local youth union to organize exchange and friendship activities, jointly implementing many vibrant and practical activities such as activities in response to Youth Month, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, voluntary blood donation activities, "Volunteer Saturday," "Green Sunday," "Semester in the Army," etc. With the approval of the unit commanders, Duc also organized youth union members to carry out many volunteer activities to help the local government and people repair and upgrade rural roads, dredge irrigation canals, and build infrastructure and social welfare facilities; build, repair, and upgrade recreational areas for children and teenagers in the area where the unit is stationed. Recently, Lieutenant Hoang Minh Duc mobilized the unit's youth union members to coordinate with local youth organizations to repair and upgrade the cultural and sports complex grounds, adding over 100 stone benches, whitewashing over 30,000 m² of buildings and walls, planting over 20,000 new flowering trees; and repairing the rock garden and youth park, with a total value of over 100 million VND.

Not only is he dynamic and enthusiastic about youth union work and youth movements, Lieutenant Hoang Minh Duc also actively participates in competitions and sports events organized by his unit and higher levels.
