Art performance at the art program "60 years - The epic of Ham Rong".
At the end of March 2025, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Mass Arts Festival was held, gathering nearly 1,000 outstanding actors, artists, and musicians from 22 mass art troupes, bringing many cultural nuances of Thanh Hoa regions. The sounds of gongs, cymbals, flutes, and panpipes imbued with the rich flavors of the mountains and forests of the Dao, Mong, and Thai ethnic groups, or the Xuan Pha and Pon Pong performances from the mountainous districts, resounded and shone, inviting visitors from near and far to the West of Thanh Hoa. The sounds echoing from the sea through the singing and dancing of actors and musicians from the plains and coastal areas brought to the festival a range of emotions that were both new and strange, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of the people and visitors.
After the Thanh Hoa Provincial Mass Arts Festival, the art program “60 years - The heroic Ham Rong” brought people back to the glorious Ham Rong, and Thanh Hoa, Ham Rong is growing stronger day by day. Thereby “spreading the fire” of revolution, fostering pride and gratitude for precious historical values, helping all classes of people raise awareness and responsibility in preserving and embellishing the glorious historical and revolutionary traditions of the heroic Thanh land.
The above are two of many impressive and unique Vietnamese cultural programs that have been jointly organized by all levels and sectors in the province since the beginning of the year. To concretize the Party's resolutions, directives and conclusions on Vietnamese cultural work, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission has advised the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to issue many documents to lead and direct implementation.
2025 is the year of many major events of the country and the province, so all levels and sectors have coordinated to organize many large-scale cultural and sports activities such as the art program "Welcoming the Year of the Snake", commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong victory, the art program to open the Sam Son, Nghi Son, Hai Tien sea tourism festival... leaving many good impressions in the hearts of the people and tourists when coming to Thanh land.
The mass cultural and artistic movement is regularly organized. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with relevant units to organize and participate in many cultural and artistic activities such as art exchanges, competitions, performances, etc. Film sessions, film weeks to propagate political tasks or major anniversaries are also regularly organized to serve the people. Cultural activities in the festival are organized in accordance with the civilized lifestyle, national cultural traditions and customs of the people of all ethnic groups in the province.
Building a healthy cultural environment for development is also focused on from families, schools to residential communities. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", the title "Model village, hamlet, residential group"... spread widely. Regulations on weddings, funerals and festivals are implemented according to the new lifestyle with 100% of villages, hamlets, residential groups building village covenants and conventions in accordance with local customs and traditions.
The work of preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups and cultural nuances of Thanh Hoa has been carried out comprehensively and synchronously. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province has guided units to implement plans to participate in the festival "Spring colors in all regions of the country" at the Cultural - Tourism Village of Vietnamese ethnic groups; continue to implement the project "Preserving, promoting and developing the language, writing, costumes, traditional occupations of ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa province", the project "Program of cultural and artistic activities serving remote, border, island and ethnic minority areas, period 2021-2030"... Traditional festivals, games, folk performances, folk songs, folk dances of ethnic groups in the province, especially festivals and performances that have been recognized as national intangible cultural heritages, continue to receive attention for restoration.
Literary and artistic creation activities are organized by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association in coordination with sectors and localities for writers and artists to penetrate reality and create many works reflecting many aspects of social life. Many high-quality works, reflecting the beauty of the land and people of Thanh Hoa, have contributed to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people of all ethnic groups in the province and arousing pride and aspiration to rise up, build the culture and people of Thanh Hoa to meet the requirements of integration and sustainable development.
The enthusiastically and widely organized Vietnamese cultural activities have contributed to improving people's lives and cultural enjoyment needs, while promptly and effectively preventing and refuting false and hostile information and viewpoints, thereby strengthening people's trust in the Party's leadership.
