The Hai Duong Forest Protection Department has requested the Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town Forest Protection Units to strengthen measures for forest fire prevention and control.

According to forecasts from the National Center for Hydrometeorology and monitoring by the Provincial Forest Protection Department, from October 22-28, areas in Hai Duong province experienced no rain or only light rain, with insignificant rainfall. The weather remained dry and arid for an extended period, with very low humidity combined with a large amount of flammable material due to fallen trees after Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ), creating a very high risk of forest fires.

The forest fire forecast for Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon town remains at level IV (dangerous), indicating a high risk of large-scale forest fires, with rapid fire spread if a fire occurs.

To proactively prevent and minimize the number of forest fires and the damage caused by them, the Hai Duong Forest Protection Department requests relevant agencies to strengthen warnings about the risk of forest fires in weather forecast bulletins.

The Forest Protection Units of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town proactively advised the People's Committees of the city and town to effectively implement the Prime Minister's directive and the plans and documents of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening measures to prevent and fight forest fires, especially during the dry season...

Directing the police, military, forest rangers, forest management units, and People's Committees of communes and wards to strengthen forest patrols and inspections between 3 PM and 7 PM daily in key fire-prone areas, especially forest areas bordering historical sites, special-use forests, and protection forests damaged by Typhoon No. 3...

Strict control of people and vehicles entering the forest is crucial for early detection and timely mobilization of firefighting forces to contain fires immediately.

The Forest Protection Departments of the two localities have deployed personnel on duty 24/7, including holidays and weekends. When the forest fire risk level reaches IV or V, all activities involving clearing undergrowth or gardens using fire are strictly prohibited. Plans are in place to mobilize forces and resources to respond to forest fire incidents according to the "four on-the-spot" principle, resolutely preventing large-scale fires.
