During the sharing session, Ms. Bachelet emphasized the importance of gender equality in all socio-political activities. However, this is not only a task for women but requires the cooperation of both genders.
More importantly, according to her, there needs to be a change in the concept of the role of both men and women, considering this one of the especially important factors to enhance the role of women in a country and in the international arena. Because it is the inherent, no longer appropriate social concept that has prevented many women from pursuing their dreams or developing their full potential to contribute to society.
The former President of Chile also said that women will always face many obstacles in life, one of which is skillfully balancing life and work. This requires them to arrange, allocate time, and prioritize work in each stage.
Ms. Bachelet emphasized the importance of building a network of connections between women in organizations, agencies, or even countries to care, listen, understand, and seek solutions to overcome the difficulties and challenges women face.
