If gold was purchased at the beginning of the week, domestic gold buyers have already made a profit of 600,000 VND/ounce.

At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and DOJI Group, Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of gold bars was listed at 90.9 million VND/tael (buy) and 92.9 million VND/tael (sell), unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the end of yesterday's trading session.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the buying price of SJC gold is 92.0 million VND/ounce and the selling price is 93.0 million VND/ounce. Thus, compared to yesterday's session, the gold price remains unchanged for both buying and selling.
Bao Tin Manh Hai Co., Ltd. listed the price of SJC gold at 84.4 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 86.4 million VND/ounce (selling price). This price remained unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the close of yesterday's trading session.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,911.41 USD/ounce. The price of gold remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,736 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 90.3 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 2.6 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

The domestic gold market witnessed significant fluctuations last week, with prices continuously rising sharply. At one point, the price of gold reached a record high of 93.1 million VND/ounce before correcting downwards. Nevertheless, the price of gold bars remains at its highest level in history.
The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars is currently 2 million VND/ounce, higher than the 1.7 million VND/ounce difference from last week. With this increase of approximately 2 million VND/ounce, many experts and investors closely monitoring gold prices believe that those who bought gold bars from the end of last week until now have made a profit of around 400,000 VND/ounce after deducting the buy-sell difference.
If buyers purchased gold rings on March 2nd and sold them on March 9th, they would have earned a profit of 600,000 VND and 400,000 VND per tael, respectively, at DOJI and Bao Tin Minh Chau.
Regarding global gold prices, they remained at high levels over the weekend amidst a weakening USD. Gold ended the week above $2,900 per ounce, up approximately 1.6% from the previous Friday. Some analysts suggest that a new factor is needed to push prices above $3,000 per ounce.
"Gold prices may temporarily stabilize while we wait to see if the US enters a period of stagflation. Fiscal expansion in Europe could affect investment flows, but I don't see any reason why gold prices can't continue to rise."
"Currently, many factors supporting prices have already been reflected, so we need to wait and see the economic impact of these developments," said Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank.
According to Kitco's survey on gold price trends for the coming week, both analysts and investors unanimously predict that gold prices will continue to rise.
In a Wall Street survey of 18 analysts, 67% predicted that gold prices would continue to rise, only 5% believed they would fall, and the remaining 28% expected prices to remain stable.
Similarly, in an online survey on Main Streets, out of 251 respondents, 67% predicted a rise in gold prices, 18% predicted a fall, and 26% believed prices would remain stable.
Gold price analysts are consolidating the upward trend with several factors at play: the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, concerns about global economic instability caused by the US President's tariff policies, and the Federal Reserve's failure to cut interest rates as expected. Central banks around the world are also continuing to increase their gold reserves, boosting demand for the precious metal.
