The most striking feature of the new Star Theater is its multi-layered projection stage, supporting cutting-edge technologies such as AR/VR, Hologram, and 3D Mapping. It also features a unique transparent Gauze screen system creating vivid 3D effects, a flexible panel system made from 10 large panels supporting multi-layer displays, and a massive LED stage screen for high-resolution projection.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Anh, Director of the Star Theatre, shared at the launch ceremony: “Looking back over the past 10 years, we see that we have accomplished much and want to commemorate the artistic moments and activities that have been showcased in each moment. This change is inspired by our journey of over 10 years witnessing countless shining moments – from professional artists and businesses launching products to individuals organizing their first event in their lives. With that spirit, we officially launch the Star Theatre brand, not just as a new name, but as a new vision: Towards becoming the destination for sophisticated and memorable events. We want to create profound experiences for our customers through unique artistic stage spaces and modern performance technology.”

Speaking about incorporating modern technology into performances, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, the unit collaborating with the Star Theater, believes this is an inevitable development, especially in the context of the public increasingly demanding rich and novel experiences. Modern technology supports stage performances. |
People's Artist Tong Toan Thang assessed that the Star Theater's investment in a multi-layered projection stage system and a synchronized sound and lighting system opens up many opportunities for performing and projection arts – including disciplines like circus – to be renewed in both form and storytelling. Technology does not replace emotion, but it will help amplify and spread emotions more powerfully – and that is what any artist desires.

“Currently, we are discussing with the Star Theatre to create a new version, retaining the core values and spirit of the play, but incorporating updated elements and a more entertaining version. We have a strategy to turn it into a tourism product. The most refined aspects of Hanoi's traditional art and imagery are included so that the audience feels a connection to their lives,” shared People's Artist Tong Toan Thang.
