Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , a representative of BIM Group said that businessman Doan Quoc Viet – the founder of the group – passed away at the age of 70 on November 7th. The funeral service will be held at the National Funeral Home (5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi ) on November 10th.

Mr. Doan Quoc Viet was born in 1955 in Hanoi. He founded BIM Co. Ltd in Poland in 1990, specializing in trade, hotels, and restaurants. He returned to Vietnam and established BIM Group in 1994, driven by a desire to "do something for his homeland."

Under his leadership, BIM Group has developed sustainably over the past 30 years, becoming a private corporation with four main pillars: tourism infrastructure and real estate development, agriculture and food, renewable energy, and consumer services.

According to BIM Group, Mr. Doan Quoc Viet has led BIM Group to become one of the largest diversified corporations in Vietnam. Throughout its development, he has always guided BIM Group's operations according to the motto "where knowledge becomes value" – emphasizing the role of knowledge, continuous learning, and the application of new technologies to create value for society.

This is clearly demonstrated through BIM Group's investment projects in Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Ninh Thuan , Kien Giang, and Vientiane (Laos), contributing to changing the local landscape, creating sustainable livelihoods, improving people's lives, and protecting the environment.

“Mr. Doan Quoc Viet’s legacy is not only about large-scale real estate projects, aquaculture farms, vast salt fields, or modern renewable energy projects, but also about the values he built and the strong inspiration he instilled in his successors and associates,” said a representative of BIM Group.

Besides business activities, a representative from BIM Group stated that the businessman also focuses on improving the welfare, income, and living standards of his employees, while implementing health and education programs for staff and their children.

“The passing of Mr. Doan Quoc Viet is a great loss, but the legacy he leaves behind—his unwavering spirit, foresight, and compassion—will always be a guiding principle for future generations of BIM Group.”

"The entire BIM Group team is committed to continuing to uphold the values that he laid the foundation for, bringing pride not only to the group but also to the country," a representative of BIM Group shared.
