Musician Lu Nhat Vu's condition is currently critical; he is on a ventilator and is receiving intensive treatment from doctors in the Department of Cerebrovascular Pathology (Department A).

Composer Lu Nhat Vu has many famous compositions such as: "Afternoon in the Meo Village", "Saigon Girl Carrying Ammunition", "Rest Assured, Mother", "Song of the Southern Land"... The news of his emergency hospitalization has been shared and appreciated by musicians and singers in Ho Chi Minh City, especially by poet Le Giang, who was very worried about him because her family is small and she has no one to take care of him.

Composer Lu Nhat Vu, whose real name was Le, was born and raised in Thu Dau Mot, Binh Duong. In the summer of 1953, witnessing the people respectfully burying a fallen Viet Minh soldier, the 17-year-old Le Van Gat wrote the poem "Soldier's Grave" and submitted it to the Dan Ta newspaper in Saigon, signing it with the pen name Lu Phong: "Let me partake of that spirit / Let my life be hardened by wind and frost / I swear to risk my young life / To liberate the world from suffering."

In July 1955, the young poet Lu Phong crossed the border to the North and joined the youth volunteer force, working at the Cau Duong Plywood Factory. It wasn't until 1956 that he passed the entrance exam to study at the Vietnam Music School.

On the occasion of the Vietnam Music School creating a wall newspaper to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Rooster 1957, the young poet Lu Phong wrote the poem "The Hour of Separation" and changed his pen name to Lu Nhat Vu.

He married the poet Le Giang, and together they have journeyed in the arts, he composing music, she writing poetry. Both are shining examples for young artists to follow in their artistic endeavors.

On March 14th, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to present Party badges to Ms. Tran Thi Kim (poet Le Giang) and Mr. Le Van Gat (musician Lu Nhat Vu) at their private residences in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province.

Poet Le Giang and musician Lu Nhat Vu have been together for over 50 years.

Attending the Party badge awarding ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee... along with local authorities where musician Lu Nhat Vu's family lives.

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen presented the 75-year Party membership badge to poet Le Giang and the 45-year Party membership badge to musician Lu Nhat Vu.

He and she are two Party members who have been together for 50 years, overcoming many challenges together, writing a beautiful love story of comradeship and faithful marital devotion. Furthermore, both have made many contributions to the national literature and arts.
