Accordingly, the new visa type has a maximum stay of 6 months for the above mentioned group of workers. This is a group of highly skilled workers, working in Japan remotely, that is, working for a Japanese company while also participating in long-term personal tourism activities in this country.

This working model is also known as digital nomad. Self-employed people will only be eligible for the new visa if they conduct business to earn revenue overseas; they will be allowed to bring family members to Japan if they also have private health insurance.
