With diverse and rich themes and topics, the films that have been and are being screened not only attract the attention of a large audience but also evoke strong emotions in viewers, especially the younger generation.

The Smurfs, Summer of Terror, Detective Conan (The Shadow of the One-Eyed, Fantastic Four, First Steps), Private Detective (Behind the Bloodstain, Gangsters 2, Omniscient Reader) ... are some of the films currently being released or scheduled for release in the latter half of July 2025, widely promoted on social media platforms, making it easier for viewers to choose.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thao, an employee at CGV Co.opmart Bien Hoa cinema (located in Tran Bien ward), said that the films currently showing at the cinema are diverse in genre, suitable for many audiences. Each film has its own unique style, from humor and thrilling action to suspense and suspense, providing audiences with enjoyable entertainment experiences during the summer. Along with other films currently being screened, "Red Rain" is one of the revolutionary war films that has garnered public attention and anticipation. With the theme: Little Heroes Today, Global Citizens Tomorrow, the 2025 Children's Film Festival has been screening films such as: The Kitchen God's Carp, The Mischievous Lion Dance Team, Wolfoo and the Mysterious Island, The Garbage Monster … The festival runs until August 15th with completely free film screenings every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at the General Science Library (address: 69 Ly Tu Trong Street, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Many excellent films are currently being and will be broadcast on VTV channels, serving viewers. These include: Rainbow on the Horizon (VTV3), Gentle Sunshine (VTV1), Cold Sun (VTV3), With You, That Place Is Peaceful (VTV1, starting July 29th) ... promising to bring many emotions to viewers.

Following the administrative boundary merger, the Dong Nai Cultural and Film Center has 7 mobile film screening teams (5 from the former Dong Nai province and 2 from the former Binh Phuoc province). Currently, these teams are organizing film screenings combined with mobile propaganda, serving ethnic minorities, new rural communes, border areas, and workers in industrial zones in 95 communes and wards throughout the province.

According to Nguyen Tien Dung, Head of the Film Operations Department at the Dong Nai Cultural and Film Center, the Film Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has not yet issued any document to local authorities regarding the screening of films commemorating the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025). However, the center's film screening teams have proactively implemented plans to serve the people in the province, focusing on films about history, war invalids and martyrs, and children's films for the summer.

“The films screened by the center include: Don't Burn, Thau Chin in Siam, The Scent of Burning Grass, The Prophet, Living with History, Those Who Wrote Legends; and animated films: The Female General of Me Linh, The Green Forest in Fury… These are not new films, but for many local audiences, it may be their first time seeing them. Screening these films in July not only has great educational significance, demonstrating the tradition of remembering one's roots, but also honors the contributions and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers in the struggle for national liberation and the protection of the Fatherland,” Mr. Dung shared.

According to Mr. Dung, to encourage young people to take a greater interest in historical and revolutionary war films shown during major holidays, the film screening teams alternate between historical films and animated films aimed at students. Before and after each screening, the teams use mobile loudspeakers to disseminate information, reminding every citizen, especially the youth, to remember the contributions of the heroic martyrs and to continuously strive to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

Despite the advancement of technology, the increasing number of modern cinemas, and the release of many great films on VTV and social media, the mobile film screening model in Dong Nai still retains its unique appeal, attracting the attention of local people, especially those in remote areas. Through these large-screen screenings, films about history and soldiers have become more accessible to audiences, contributing to the authentic and moving dissemination of traditional values.
