Ms. Le Thi Thu Thao, an employee of CGV Co.opmart Bien Hoa cinema (located in Tran Bien ward), said that the films shown at the cinema are currently diverse in genres, suitable for many audiences. Each film has its own color, from comedy, action to suspense, helping the audience have interesting entertainment experiences in the summer. The festival will take place until August 15 with completely free film screenings every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at the General Science Library (address: 69 Ly Tu Trong, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
VTV channels are showing and will be showing many good movies to serve the audience. Some of them are: Rainbow on the horizon (VTV3), Gentle sunshine (VTV1), Cold sun (VTV3), With you, there is peace (VTV1, starting from July 29) ... promising to bring many emotions to the viewers.
Gratitude to heroes and martyrs
After the administrative boundary merger, Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center has 7 mobile film screening teams (old Dong Nai province has 5 teams and old Binh Phuoc province has 2 teams). Currently, the teams are organizing film screenings combined with mobile propaganda, serving ethnic minorities, new rural communes, border areas, and industrial park workers in 95 communes and wards in the province.
Head of the Cinema Department, Dong Nai Cultural and Cinema Center Nguyen Tien Dung said that up to now, the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has not yet sent a document to units and localities to screen films to commemorate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025). However, the center's film screening teams have proactively implemented plans to serve people in the province, including exploiting films on historical topics, war invalids and martyrs and films for children during the summer.
“The films that the center has exploited and screened include: Don't Burn, Thau Chin in Xiem, Mui Co Chay, Nha Tien Prophet, Song Cung Lich Su, Nhung Nguoi Viet Huyen Thoai; animated films: Nu Tuong Me Linh, Rung Xanh Noi An... These are not new films, but for many audiences at the grassroots level, this is probably the first time they have seen them. Screening these films in July not only has great educational significance, demonstrating the tradition of remembering the source of water, but also honoring the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers in the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland" - Mr. Dung shared.
According to Mr. Dung, to make young people more interested in historical films and revolutionary war films shown on mobile during major holidays, film teams alternate historical films with animated films for students. Before and after each screening, the teams run loudspeakers to propagate to remind every citizen, especially the young generation, to remember the merits of heroic martyrs, to constantly strive to build the homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
Although technology is increasingly developing, modern cinemas are appearing more and more, many good movies are shown on VTV and social networks, the mobile cinema model in Dong Nai still retains its own appeal, attracting the attention of people at the grassroots level, especially those in remote areas. Through big screen screenings, historical films, soldiers, etc. have come closer to the audience, contributing to spreading traditional values in a genuine and touching way.
