In their FA Cup away match against Wigan earlier this week, manager Ten Hag was without 11 first-team players due to injury.
However, the situation is gradually improving for the Red Devils as many key players are nearing recovery. The Dutch manager shared: "I think a few players will be back for the match against Tottenham."
The most realistic case is Christian Eriksen. Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw could also be added. Mason Mount, however, needs a few more days."
Eriksen missed the trip to DW Stadium due to illness, while Antony was not registered to play due to a minor injury.
Two long-term injured players, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro, have also returned to training with the rest of the team and will make their comeback when they regain their best fitness.
When asked if the absences made the job difficult, coach Ten Hag replied: "Yes. But I'm not upset because it wouldn't help in supporting the team at all."
Therefore, we need to achieve the best possible form and results with the current squad. That's what Manchester United is trying to do."
With a number of players set to return from injury and billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe's team needing time to reassess the entire squad structure, Manchester United will not be signing any new players in the winter transfer window.
