Many excellent projects were awarded the "Hanoi Innovative Startup Award 2023"

Baoquocte.vn. On the morning of October 14, in Hanoi , the Hanoi People's Committee held the Award Ceremony for the Hanoi Innovation and Startup Competition 2023.

The Hanoi Innovation and Startup Competition 2023 is part of the series of activities of Techfest Hanoi 2023. The competition is organized to encourage and spread the spirit of innovation and startup in the Capital Region with Hanoi as the center. At the same time, it raises awareness and contributes to realizing potential innovation and startup projects.

Projects and ideas participating in this year's competition are in many different fields such as information technology, financial technology, artificial intelligence (AI) application technology, food processing, social community projects, environmentally friendly products, etc.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Quoc Ha said that Techfest Hanoi 2023 has contributed to creating and promoting the development of the startup and innovation ecosystem in the Capital Region; raising awareness of science and technology, digital transformation, building, connecting and enhancing the capacity of the subjects of the startup and innovation ecosystem.

The successes of Techfest Hanoi 2023 have affirmed the role of science, technology and innovation in the development of the Capital Region in general and Hanoi city in particular, and have truly become the driving force for the development of socio-economic fields, especially demonstrating the spirit of taking people and businesses as the center.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ha said: “In the coming time, the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology hopes to continue to receive attention and comprehensive direction on science and technology market development activities, innovative start-up activities from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the City Party Committee, the City People's Council, the City People's Committee and the companionship and connection of the provinces in the Capital Region. On that basis, the activities of introducing, connecting, buying and selling, transferring... into practical production and business activities will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Capital Region. In particular, it is to promote the connection between the provinces and components of the innovative start-up ecosystem in the Region”.

After the judging rounds, the Organizing Committee decided to award 1 First Prize, 3 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes for the best ideas and projects.

Accordingly, the first prize of the competition belongs to the project "Passive cooling paint for outdoor surfaces" by the group of authors Nguyen Quoc Hung, Pham Thi Hong, Nguyen Quoc Tuan.

Three Second Prizes went to the project “VN Check – 4.0 traceability platform” ; the project “Developing BIM building information model combining GIS technology platform and artificial intelligence in architectural and planning consulting activities” and the project “Implementing a model to support youth, autistic people and people with disabilities to develop sustainably in Hanoi”.

Three projects won the Third Prize: “Application of blockchain in the management of diplomas and certificates of state agencies” by the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology; “Ecosystem of medicinal products” by Herbest Herbal Essences Joint Stock Company; “Turning crop by-products into high-value raw materials” by XAVIA Global Dried Flower Joint Stock Company.

Five projects won the Encouragement Prize, including : "Application of GIS, Drone to build an agricultural database to serve the management and planning of the development of a smart commune model in Thach That district, Hanoi" by Sao Thang Tam Vietnam Joint Stock Company; "Security camera system to monitor empty parking lots using computer vision technology and phone application to book parking spaces for users" by the group of authors Le Duc Anh, Hoang Gia Minh, Nguyen Duong Lan Nhi, Nguyen Duc Hiep, Le Thi Ngoc Khanh...
