DNVN - The Ministry of Science and Technology announced a series of outstanding events to be held in late September and October at the regular September press conference on September 26, 2025, chaired by Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong.

The Ministry of Science and Technology said that many important events will be held in late September and October. Accordingly, the most prominent are the 80th Anniversary of the Post and Telecommunications Industry, the 66th Anniversary of the Science and Technology Industry and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress (September 29, 2025). This event is of special significance, marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Post and Telecommunications Industry, and honoring the 66 years of contribution of the Science and Technology Industry to the cause of national construction and defense. The ceremony is also an opportunity to recognize and express gratitude to generations of leaders, officials, scientists and businesses who have made great efforts to develop the two industries, making them important pillars in the process of national digital transformation and international integration, while also arousing pride, the spirit of innovation and the will to develop breakthroughs in the new period.

Next is the National Innovation Day 2025. The National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with the Department of Innovation (SATI) organizes the National Innovation Day 2025 and the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2025, taking place from October 1 to 3, 2025. This is a key event to connect the national innovation ecosystem, promote links between state management agencies, businesses, institutes and international organizations.

In September, the Ministry of Science and Technology also gradually completed the Draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technology Transfer (amended). The goal of this amendment is to perfect the legal framework, promote the transparent development of the science and technology market, encourage the commercialization of research results and innovation, strengthen control of cross-border technology transfer, and improve state management capacity.

The draft revised law focuses on 06 new policy groups, notably: Expanding the scope of regulated technology to cover new technology, especially strategic technology and green technology; Supporting and promoting endogenous technology transfer through ownership rights, technology usage rights and technology capital contribution to investment projects; Creating financial and legal incentives with strong incentive mechanisms, requiring international contractors to commit to technology transfer and training Vietnamese human resources; Developing a professional science and technology market, enhancing the role of technology exchanges, innovation centers, and creative startup support centers.

An equally important event hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology in October is the Vietnam International Digital Week 2025. This is an annual international forum to promote global cooperation and connection in the field of digital technology .

Vietnam International Digital Week 2025, with the theme "AI Institution", will take place from October 27-29, 2025 in Ninh Binh and Hanoi, with the structure of 1 ministerial roundtable session + 6 key topics including: conferences, workshops, international cooperation forums and technology demonstrations, with the participation of leaders of many international organizations, Ministers of ASEAN countries and strategic partner countries such as Australia, Korea, the United States, as well as leaders of global technology corporations such as Starlink, Qualcomm, SK, Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, Viettel...
