On December 10th, at the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (SIHUB), VBI Academy, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies (HIDS), organized a program on "Digital Asset Popularization" with the theme "Security and Compliance for Cryptographic Assets," aiming towards the establishment of a Vietnam International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The program brings together experts in blockchain, data security, legal matters, finance, and digital assets, along with numerous domestic and international technology companies. The goal is to reach 1,000,000 participants by 2026 to enhance digital skills, protect users, and promote the transparent and sustainable development of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
In her opening remarks, Ms. JLo Tran – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of VBI Academy – emphasized the program's strategic significance in contributing to standardizing awareness, behavior, and safety standards for the digital asset market. This is also an important step in preparing human resources, legal understanding, and a compliance culture to support the operation of the Vietnam International Finance Centre (IFC). IFC is expected to become a driving force for digital finance, Fintech, and the cryptocurrency market in the region.

Speakers shared insights into the legal framework and strategies for digital assets.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Director of the Center for Economic Application Consulting at HIDS, 2025 marks a turning point for Vietnam's digital asset market with the promulgation of a series of new policies, from the Law on Digital Technology Industry, the Law on Personal Data Protection to the resolution on piloting the cryptocurrency market and the resolution on the Vietnam International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City. This creates a foundation to transform the market from spontaneous to transparent, with a legal framework and approaching international standards.
Mr. Le Thanh Hai believes that it is necessary to simultaneously improve policies and enhance the digital capacity of businesses, organizations, and communities so that people and businesses can participate in the market safely, responsibly, and in compliance. Disseminating knowledge to millions of users is a prerequisite for IFC to become a transparent, secure, and competitive digital financial center in the region.
During the program, experts provided knowledge about the structure, risks, opportunities, and operating principles of digital assets; guidance on identifying fraud, preventing cyberattacks, improving e-wallet security skills, managing private keys, and ensuring transaction security.
