The prolonged rain caused by storm No. 4 caused many roads in Kon Tum City to be flooded nearly one meter deep, causing business, trade and traffic through the area to stagnate.
On the morning of October 9, the rain lasted for 3-4 hours, causing Phan Dinh Phung, Tran Hung Dao, Ba Trieu, Le Hong Phong, Phan Chu Trinh, Le Loi streets... in Kon Tum City to be submerged in water.

The deep floodwaters caused traffic jams, some vehicles stalled and people had to push them on foot. Many households living on both sides of the road used wooden or corrugated iron sheets to block their doors to prevent the waves from entering their houses when vehicles passed by. The businesses and trade of people along the road were also disrupted.
By noon today, the rain had gradually stopped, the water receded, and people were cleaning up mud and garbage that had overflowed into their homes. The roads in the area were deeply flooded when it rained due to the narrow, inefficient drainage system. In the middle of this year, the city spent 185 billion VND to upgrade the drainage system and sidewalks to overcome flooding.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the coming days, the Central Highlands will still have thunderstorms in some places, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
