On the morning of October 5, at the Binh Duong Sports Training and Competition Center Gymnasium, the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam Club Tournament took place. The tournament attracted more than 150 athletes from 14 units in Ho Chi Minh City to compete.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Cao Van Chong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports ; Mr. Tong Xuan Giang - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society; Mr. Phan Van Lam - Director of Binh Duong Sports Training and Competition Center.
The tournament gathered more than 150 excellent athletes, representing 14 units from communes, wards, businesses and schools in the city.

The Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam Club Tournament is not only a competition venue but also a place to spread passion, preserve the cultural identity of national martial arts, arouse national pride through each martial art move, affirm the will and spirit of Vietnamese martial arts. In parallel with the Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam Club Tournament, also this morning, at the EcoLakes My Phuoc Urban Area (Thoi Hoa Ward), the "Color Run EcoLakes 2025" took place with the participation of Mr. Firdauz Othman, Consul General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City and more than 2,000 running enthusiasts. At the Community Sports Center (Binh Duong Ward), the Ho Chi Minh City Business - Entrepreneur Tennis Tournament 2025 took place with the participation of nearly 100 athletes who are leaders, businessmen, journalists, civil servants, artists in the area.
The leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that next Sunday (October 12), also at the Binh Duong Sports Training and Competition Center Gymnasium, a series of exciting sports activities will continue to take place, attracting about 1,000 participants such as: Yoga and Fitness Festival; Community Sports Program (running, tug of war); Pickleball Dinknutrition Open Ho Chi Minh City.
